Four CIP potato clones with one check variety Asterix were grown during 2010-11 and 2011-12 at horticulture research farm of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University to observe the effect of water stress on yield and tuber quality of potato. The present study revealed that the tuber yields of all the genotypes were reduced by different degrees of drought. Genotype CIP 393371.58 and CIP 396244.12 performed better in severe drought condition produced higher yield per plant. The highest percent of small sized and deformed tuber was found in the CIP 391004.18 and Asterix under severe drought condition, whereas the normal sized tuber was found in CIP 396244.12 and CIP 393371.58. These two genotypes also maintained more relative water content (RWC) with higher xylem exudation rate under water stress condition than the susceptible genotypes. On the basis of tuber yield and plant water status under drought condition, the genotypes CIP 393371.58 and CIP 396244.12 could be drought tolerant.
The study was conducted to know the breeding performance of two strains (YY and XY male tilapia) of Oreochromisniloticus in Bismillah Agro production hatchery of NoakhaliSadar in Noakhali district, Bangladesh from May to August, 2012.The length, weight of the brood fishes and gonad weight, fecundity, egg fertilization rate, hatching rate, fry survival rate and larval growthin both strains were assessed. YY male showed the highest length and weight during three stocking months. Average fertilization rate and hatching rate were higher in YY male derived than that of XY male derived egg. Higher average larvalsurvival rate and larval growth was observed in YY male derived progeny than that of XY male derived.Production of male population was higher in YY male than XY male tilapia. The result of the present study concluded that YY male tilapia outperformed than XY male in all cases of breeding performance.
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network composed of distributed autonomous devices using sensors. Sensor nodes send their collected data to a determined node called Sink. The sink processes data and performs appropriate actions. Nodes using routing protocol determine a path for sending data to sink. Congestion occurs when too many sources are sending too much of data for network to handle. Congestion in a wireless sensor network can cause missing packets, long delay, overall channel quality to degrade, leads to buffer drops. Congestion control mechanism has three phases, namely congestion detection, congestion notification and congestion control. In this paper is propose two bit binary notification flag to notify the congested network status for implicit congestion detection. For congested network status, we propose a priority based rate adjustment technique for controlling congestion in link level. Congested packet will be distributed equally to the child node to avoid packet loss and transition delays based on technique. Furthermore, this technique allocates the priority of many applications simultaneously running on the sensor nodes, which route is own data as well as the data generated from other sensor nodes. The results show that the proposed technique achieves better normalized throughput and total scheduling rate with the avoiding packet loss and delay.
Future world is moving towards cloud computing. In a word cloud computing can be defined as remote access computing resources through the Internet. It provides a lot of services at a very low cost. It can improve an organization’s performance by minimizing its cost. It also helps to maximize their revenue with fewer resources. It is becoming popular among organizations and people. They can store their data in cloud at low cost. Attackers aim to attack cloud environment for getting valuable information from cloud users. They attack on it by taking different approaches. They try to access confidential information of different organizations from the cloud. Among different attacks side channel power analysis attack is a newer type of attack. In this paper, we proposed a way to mitigate these types of attacks through a Police Virtual Machine (Police VM). The Police VM provides false power consumption information to attackers and they cannot get real power consumption information from user VM.
Plantaris, a small muscle with its long slender tendon, is of interest not only from anatomical but also from phylogenetic view point. It is regarded as vestigial in man, believing that, with assumption of an erect posture, the tendon lost its original insertion into plantar aponeurosis and gained a secondary calcaneal attachment. The muscle is known to exhibit variations but there are few reports on the existence of complete duplication of plantaris. During the routine dissection for the undergraduate medical students we encountered unilateral accessory plantaris muscle in the right lower limb of an adult male cadaver. Though often dismissed as a small vestigial muscle, an injury to this muscle should actually be included in the differential diagnosis of the painful calf.
We have analyzed the statistical and squeezing properties of the signal mode applying the solution of c-number Langivin equations for the combination of the twin signal light beams. We have found that the mean photon number to be twofold of that of a twin signal light beam. And a large part of the mean photon number is confined in a relatively small frequency interval. In addition, we have shown that the local quadrature squeezing of the signal mode is in general greater than the global quadrature squeezing and approaches to the global quadrature squeezing as increases . Moreover, the one mode subharmonic light beams have a maximum amplified squeezing of 75% below the vacuum state level and occurs in frequency interval.
This qualitative study examined the reported technology dispositions that a group of elementary principals in a South Texas public school district possess as technology leaders as aligned to the 2009 National Technology Standards for Administrators (NETS-A). An online questionnaire and open-ended audio recorded interviews were utilized to determine technology dispositions of the participants. Findings included the following five dispositions: 1) Technology’s usefulness, 2) Risk taking, 3) Self-reliance, 4) Encouragement, and 5) Role model.
Service composition in service oriented architecture is an important activity. In regard to achieve the quality of service and secured activities from the web service compositions, they need to be verified about their impact towards fault proneness before deploying that service composition. Henceforth, here in this paper, we devised a novel statistical approach to assess the service composition impact scale towards fault proneness. The devised model explores the higher and lower ranges of the service composition impact scale, which is from the knowledge of earlier compositions that are notified as fault prone.
Entrepreneurship education is a teaching philosophy and model needs to adapt to economic, social and national development strategies. In-depth analysis of the reasons for the lack of entrepreneurship education is made in this paper, as well as how to implement entrepreneurship education. The writer proposes concrete measures to promote the healthy development of China’s college entrepreneurship education.
Background : Hypospadias is a common anomaly of male external gentalia. Most cases of hypospadias are distal type. Snodgrass procedure or tubularized incised plate urethroplasty has become the preferable and optimal treatment for primary and distal cases of hypospadias. The aim of this study was to study the effectiveness and evaluate the outcome of Snodgrass procedure presented for 44 patients with distal and mid-shaft hypospadias. Patients and method; from April 2011 to May 2014; 36 patients with distal hypospadias and 8 patients with mid-shaft hypospadias, (total 44 patients) had been submitted to corrective surgery foe their hypospdias by single stage Snodgrass TIP technique. Results: mean age of patients and mean operative time in this study were 2.8±1.8, 52.7±9.4 respectively. The functional and cosmetic results were excellent. The overall complications rate recorded was 13.6%. Urethro-cutaneous fistula developed n 3 patients (6.8%), meatal stenosis occurred in 2 patients (4.5%) while wound infection and dehiscence noted in 3 patients. Penile torsion was not encountered in this study. Conc usion: Snodgrass TIP technique is the most preferable and reliable repair for most patients with primary and distal hypospadias cases. It is simple, safe, effective and versatile with excellent functional and cosmetic results. The compli ations rate s relatively low and acceptable.
