Dentinogenesis imperfecta is a developmental disorder affecting the structure of the teeth. Both deciduous and permanent dentition are affected. Deciduous teeth are most severely affected.Early diagnosis and treatment are therefore important to obtain a better prognosis since late intervention makes treatment more complex.
An Image fusion is the development of amalgamating two or more image of common characteristic to form a single image which acquires all the essential features of original image. Nowadays lots of work is going to be done on the field of image fusion and also used in various application such as medical imaging and multi spectra sensor image fusing etc. For fusing the image various techniques has been proposed by different author such as wavelet transform, IHS and PCA based methods etc. In this paper literature of the image fusion with wavelet transform is discussed with its merits and demerits.
ccording to senior officials in the Energy sector, energy starved Zimbabwe will suffer longer and more frequent power shortages for the next 10 years. The country’s power utility will extend power blackouts until it can boost capacity. Patson Mbiriri, Secretary for Energy and Power Development told an annual congress of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) in Nyanga recently, ‘By about 2022 is when the country will be able to generate enough electricity for domestic and industrial needs,’ said Mbiriri. Zimbabwe needs about 2200 megawatts of electricity at peak consumption but generates just below 1300 megawatts, while relying on imports to fill the gap (Staff Reporter 2014). Due to ageing equipment, power generation is often disrupted following breakdowns. In most cases, the generators operate below capacity. In recent months Zimbabwe could only afford to import 25 megawatts from neighbouring countries after major electricity suppliers in the region turned off the switches over non payment of dues. “Most of our woes in terms of blackouts will end in 2015” Mbiriri said. The then energy minister Honourable Elton Mangoma said Zimbabwe had whittled its debt to power providers to under US$20 million from around US$100 million in a bid to resume power imports. There were plans to revamp the Northern Kariba hydro power station and the Hwange Ethanol power station in the West of the country.
This paper investigates the impact of defense burden on economic growth in Pakistan economy over the period 1980-2013. A three equations model is estimated through two stage least square (2SLS) method in order to investigate the direct and indirect impact of defense burden on economic growth. The findings of the model show that defense expenditure directly as well as indirectly retard economic growth in Pakistan.
This paper examined the extent to which the citizens are involved in political activities. The study adopted both qualitative and quantitative means of data collection. A questionnaire titled Political Participation Attitude Scale (PPAS) was the quantitative instrument used for the study. A Focus Group Guide on Political Participation (FGGPP) was used to obtain qualitative data. Three research questions were raised and answered in the study. The findings of the study revealed that 57% of the participants were not actively involved in political activities. Also, there was effect of gender on political participation. 30% and 13% of males and females respectively were highly involved in political activities. Also, 38% and 12% of males and females respectively were regularly involved in voting exercise. In addition, it was discovered in the study that majority (53%) of the respondents had no confidence in their political leaders. On the basis of the findings of this study, it is recommended that there is urgent need for formal and informal approaches to political education in Nigeria. Also, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should put machinery in place to ensure mass participation of the Nigerian citizen in the coming 2015 general election.
Background: Burns in South Africa account for significant morbidity, mortality cost. Treatment options that could ease this burden require exploration. Objectives: The primary objective was to compare the time to healing of partial thickness burn wounds treated with Versajet, Biobrane and Acticoat to conventional therapy. Methods: A randomised, controlled, prospective study was undertaken
This article presents energy efficient fused multiplyadd for multimedia applications. Low cost, low power and high performance factors diddle the design of many microprocessors directed to the low-power figuring market. The floating point unit occupies a significant percentage of the silicon area in a microprocessor due to its wide data bandwidth and the area occupied by the multiply array. The fused floating-point multiply-add unit is utilitarian for digital signal processing (DSP) applications such as fast Fourier transform (FFT) and discrete cosine transform (DCT). The proposed designs are implemented for single precision and synthesized with a 45-nm standard cell library. To improve the performance of the fused floating point multiply-add unit, we are supervening upon leading zero anticipation with the novel leading zero detection, as the novel leading one detection algorithm allowing us to significantly reduce the anticipation failure rates.
The association of different wireless communication technologies on the way to advanced wireless networks had better face with the developing systems resource utilization and user authentication. Mobility management is vital to omnipresent computing which can be established by location management and distinctive of the mobility management modules. In this work the new protocol is proposed which includes the integration of FHMIPv6 and MIH. The proposed protocol performance is analysed using NS2 simulation. It shows the reduction of handoff latency for video streaming. The cost is also being reduced by the handoff latency while transmitting the signal from one mobile user to another. Further the proposed protocol is compared with the previous protocols.
In Vietnam, the sludge from wastewater treatment systems in general and from the paper mill in particular is quite large. Particularly, an estimated 14,500 tons of sludge are generated annually from only the paper industry. However, at present mainly these sludge are applied forms of burial in landfills. It has caused difficulties for the construction of the landfill and waste of resources. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the possibility of using sludge as fertilizer to soil and crop improvement, and contribute to environmental protection. The results show that sludge from wastewater treatment systems of paper plant has high organic matter content (28.76% of organic C), rich in N (1.07%) and other nutrients such as P, Ca, Mg that should be used as fertilizer to improvement of soil fertility, and contribute increasing crop production. In this research, the sludge has a positive impact on soil properties, especially contributed significantly improve the amount of available nitrogen and soil humus. The high sludge applied generally produced greater biomass and crop yields. It is recommended that application of 10; 20 and 30 tons of sludge per ha have increased the pod yields of peanuts by 128; 144 and 155% compared to the control without application of sludge.
In this paper the suitability of Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform for pose invariant Face Recognition is studied and a feature extraction frame work is proposed. This proposed framework will aid in design of Face Recognition system to address the challenging issue like Pose Variation. In contrast to the discrete wavelet Transform (DWT) the design of Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform is rugged to shift Invariance and poses good directional properties. These features of DT-CWT motivated to study their suitability for Face Feature Extraction, as the features of face are oriented in different directions. In this proposed frame work the Image is decomposed using DT-CWT and the features are extracted from low frequency band using Kernel Principal Component analysis (KPCA). To show the performance, the proposed method is tested on ORL Database. Satisfactory results are obtained using proposed method compared to existing state of art.
