Global

undreds of millions of people worldwide are affected by mental, behavioral, neurological and substance abuse disorders. For example, estimates made by WHO in 2002 showed that 154 million people globally suffer from depression and 25 million people from schizophrenia. (1) This exerts tremendous social, medical and financial burden. Early intervention and effective management can easily reduce this burden significantly. One other main disorders encountered and constitute real challenge are the psychotic disorders. They constitute 3 to 4 % of all mental disorders (1). They have gained special interest due to its possible chronic course and hence its long term economic and social impact. Cost-effective treatments exist for most disorders and, if correctly applied, could enable most of those affected to become functioning members of society.
Osteoarthritis is a common orthopedic problem in the small animals patients. In most cases, the degenerative changes in the joint are secondary to some predisposing cause. The objective of this case study was to assess Diagnostic Value of Histopathology Radiography and Computed Tomography for Diagnosis of Canine Osteoarthritis The study was conducted in Police Dogs Administration (Ministry of Interior, X-ray Department), included Female German Shepherd dog which diagnosed radiographically for hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. Using conventional radiography and CT images It concluded that conventional radiography is the most common method used to evaluate osteoarthritis, there has been an increase in the application of other imaging technologies (CT) during the past several years. These modalities and thehistopathology can provide the clinician with additional information that can improve case management.
Next Generation Network (NGN) is envisioned to be an inter-working environment of heterogeneous networks of wired and wireless access networks, PSTN, satellites, broadcasting, etc., all interconnected through the service provider’s IP backbone and the Internet. NGN uses multiple broadband, QoS-enabled transport technologies and servicerelated functions independent from underlying transportrelated technologies. The operations and management of such interconnected networks are expected to be much more difficult and important than the traditional network environment. In this paper, we present an overview of the current status towards the management of NGN and discuss challenges in operating and managing NGN. We also present the operations and management requirements of NGN in accordance with the challenges and verified two routing protocols for QOS support and providing security using caesarchiper encryption/decryption in Ad-hoc networks and also provide QOS for wired networks by AQM techniques and simulated results of AQM, Routing protocols using NS-2 and Encryption/Decryption using Matlab tools.
Contracts are usually analyzed in the light of the reduction of transaction costs that they may ensure. But this disregards the advantages of strategic flexibility in business relations. In this paper we consider a model of provider-client relation and see how flexibility in the contract (seen as a combination of a put and a call option) ensures a higher payoff to the involved parties.
A PID Controller has been designed and incorporated into the Robot based Agricultural System. This system comprises a Robotic Vehicle which navigates through the field in the desired direction performing tilling or de-weeding as it moves. The PID control system has been designed for automatic steering and speed control of the Robotic Vehicle. The PID control system continuously checks and corrects the direction of travel to keep the vehicle on the desired track.PID Control equations for Discrete Time Domain have been derived and validated by using MATLAB. Functional tests were carried out using ModelSim. The hardware results were finally validated using MATLAB again. The direction accuracy achieved is better than 0.01%.
This paper proposes the general framework for mining sequences from health care database. The database is a relational model consisting of set of temporal records of individual patient consisting of basic information of the patient ie Patient_ID, age, gender etc. the second part is a series of sequences representing the set of treatment given to the patient during regular visit to the doctor and the third part is class label. Similarity search of sequences is performed to convert the database of sequences, to the database of items, so that apriori algorithm can be applied. Weighted association rule mining has been performed to find the frequent sequence of treatment provided to the patient. Classification association rules (CAR) having positive class label as consequent, represents the frequent sequence of treatment given to the patient for successful treatment. With the experimental results, author feels confident in declaring that the framework is feasible in the medical domain.
Connecting rod is one of the important components of the whole engine assembly as it acts as a mediator between piston assembly and crankshaft. Also it faces a lot of tensile and compressive loads during its life time. So, a detailed analysis is the need of hour. For quick, better and accurate analysis CAD and FEA have proved very useful. This paper presents review on account of the developments done in the field of analysis, weight and cost reduction opportunities and better materials for connecting rod.
Document Analysis represented in vector space model is often used in information retrieval, topic analysis, and automatic classification. However, it hardly deals with fuzzy information and decision-making problems. To account this, Intuitionistic partition based cosine similarity measure between topic/terms and correlation between document/topic are proposed for evaluation. Conceptual granulation is emphasized in the decision matrix expressed conventionally as tf-idf. A local clustering of topic-terms and document-topics results in comparing dependent terms with membership degree using cosine similarity measure and correlation. A preprocessing of documents with intuitionistic fuzzy sets results in efficient classification of large corpus. But it depends on the datasets chosen. The proposed method effectively works well with large sized categorized corpus.
Phytochemical constituents of plants with varied phytochemical, physiological and biochemical activity has received attention to use them as food, medicine, cosmetics etc. In fact many plants extracts have been shown to exert biological activity invitro and invivo which justified the healing potential of ethnomedicine. Using phytochemical analysis, UVvisible spectrum and GC-MS studies, the active compound that are rich in rhizomes were tested. From the investigation it was found that phenolic compounds and tannin are rich in rhizomes. An important compound that formed a dominant peak was identified to be 3, 3, 3, trifluoro -N-(-4-fluorophenyl)- bicyclo (4.1.0) heptanes. Hence it is essential to study the traditional health care systems.
Cyclic and linear phosphazenes are characterized by a repeating unit [-N=PR2-]n in which nitrogen is trivalent and phosphorus pentavalent. Ring sizes for the cyclic derivatives vary from three to about forty repeating units whereas for the linear polyphosphazenes derivatives are known which contain up to 15000 repeating units.Algerien (MMT) called “Maghnite” a montmorillonite sheet silicate clay, exchanged with protons to produce “H-Maghnite” is an efficient catalyst for cationic polymerisation of many heterocyclic and vinylic monomers [1] . The structural compositions of“Maghnite” have already been determined. A phosphazenes derivative, hexa-allylamino-cyclotriphosphazene (HACTP) reactionwas performed under optimum conditions at 20°C. Experiments revealed that the reaction induced by “H-Maghnite” proceeds in bulk. The prepared samples were subsequently characterized by FTIR spectroscopy, 1H-NMR spectroscopy and. It should be noted that the product coating containing 1wt. %, 3wt. % and 5wt. % of clay loading was found to exhibit an observable structure, physicochemical properties and controlled molecular weight.
