The present investigation was carried out with three shoot fly resistant, one having recovery resistance and four susceptible genotypes and their twenty eight crosses. Out of 21 SSR primers used 6 were amplified and gave 12 bands and 327 clear fragments. Out of 12 bands 5 were polymorphic and level of average polymorphism was 41.67 per cent. The most informative band was of Xtxp 88 at 250 bp. The correlation between early vigour, glossiness and trichome density was significant positive. The average value of glossiness (p=0.00) and trichome density (p=0.02) was significantly low in the genotypes having Xtxp88 250 bp band. Correlation of marker Xtxp88 (250 bp) with glossiness (-0.58) and trichome density (-0.38) was significant and negative. In the stepwise regression analysis only one band Xtxp88 250 bp was entered and explained 33.20 and 14.70 percent variability of glossiness and trichome density, respectively, indicating that the band Xtxp88 250 bp was weakly associated with susceptibility to shoot fly.
The paper investigated the circumstances and processes involved in the development and validation of Success Potential Battery (SPB) for measuring the success potential of individuals. The population cuts across adolescents, youths, adult and old people of diverse callings since the issue of success know no bounds. Hence, a sample of 2000, with 500 from each of the identified groups was randomly selected to participate in the survey study. The internal consistency values for the subscales ranged between 0.6539-09210. Standardized item alpha for the 16 scales ranged from 0.6838-0.9188 . The Crombach alpha ranged between 0.6824-0.9193. The Guttman split half reliability ranged between 0.5186-0.8580. The Convergent validity for the 16 scales ranged between 0.426-0.704 while the Discriminant validity ranged between -.005--.206. The significant inter-factor correlation coefficient is an evidence for strong construct validity of the scales. The significance of the psychological inventory to individuals, researchers, psychologists, students, teachers, counselors, organizations and anybody interested in evaluating his/her success potentials were stressed.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether service quality confers a competitive advantage for firm, customer behavioral intention for future, and can that competitive advantage be sustained over a period of time. Methodology: Cross-sectional study design was used as a methodology for the paper. A field survey was carried out with the help of questionnaire using SERVQUOL scale. 400 current users of cell phone were targeted for the purpose of data collection through convenient sampling. Findings: The study found that telecom industry received excellent rating on tangibility, particularly equipment and customer service staffs’ dress, and low ratings on empathy, particularly not knowing customers’ needs and not giving individual and personal attention to customers. Research Implications:SERVQUOL is a good starting point for assessing service quality. Service delivery system should produce moments of truth where different cues expressed by customers about quality must be assessed promptly. Originality: The study has a practical significance for policy makers of firms in telecommunication sector of Pakistan for understanding behavioral intentions of their customers and for effectively positioning their firm’s service quality. Limitation and Future Research: This study only assessed the functional dimension of the service quality to explain consumer behavior which might be misspecification of service quality and may have low predictive validity.

Among the different models tried in predicting diameter growth for 24 different species Gompertz model was found better for Acacia auriculiformis (R2 = 0.9956), Acacia catechu (R2 = 0.9972), Acacia nilotica (R2 = 0.9938), Bahunia purpurea (R2 = 0.9950), Butea monosperma (R2 = 0.9968), Casuarina equsitifolia (R2 = 0.9979), Cassia siamea (R2 = 0.9986), Dalbergia sissoo (R2 = 0.9944), Delonix regia (R2 = 0.9953), Emblica officinalis (R2 = 0.9944), Eucalyptus citriodara (R2 = 0.9983), Eucalyptus hybrid (R2 = 0.9988), Hardwickia binata (R2 = 0.9969), Anogeissus latifolia (R2 = 0.9962).
Using data available at the faculty to appreciate closely the contribution of the implementation of a decision tool in a university environment. In fact, this is a business intelligence application to test the equilibrium relationship between activities and aggregations for each category of actors. Thus, we propose an application module: holder on the other hand the creation of an information system dedicated to actor decision student of the Faculty. Taking as an example to study the measure of success by industry, mention of the tray and university year. The choice of this indicator is motivated by the needs and projected orientation of the new registrants. At registration online, the student, depending on its tray and the grade obtained, the system assigns it to one or more dies and offers him a choice to opt for.
This project aims at the experimental investigation of the effects of hot and cold Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) methods on emissions and efficiency of the engine. This experiment is conducted in single cylinder, 4-stroke, direct injection diesel engine. A heat exchanger arrangement is provided for obtaining different EGR methods. The performance parameters were studied with and without exhaust gas recirculation of different methods with 10%, 15% and 20% of EGR. The recycled exhaust gas lowers the oxygen concentration in the combustion chamber and increases the temperature of intake charge which lowers the flame temperature and leads to lower NOx formation. Experimental results shows that the cold EGR is much effective than the hot and intermediate EGR for the reduction of NOx emission. The increase in temperature of EGR gases causes the combustion temperature which leads to increase in formation of NOx. By increasing the cooled EGR rates reduces the emissions more significantly.
Among 24 tree species tested for height and age relationship under agroforestry systems of northern dry zone of Karnataka, Gompertz model fitted well for 9 species, Weibull model for 7 species, Exponential model found well suited for 5 species and Richards model for 3 Among 24 tree species tested for height and age relationship under agroforestry systems of northern dry zone of Karnataka, Gompertz model fitted well for 9 species, Weibull model for 7 species, Exponential model found well suited for 5 species and Richards model for 3 species respectively. Among the different models tried in predicting height growth for 24 different species Gompertz was found better for Acacia auriculiformis (R2 = 0.9974), Acacia nilotica (R2 = 0.9981), Bahunia purpurea (R2 = 0.9971), Butea monosperma (R2 = 0.9992), Casuarina equsitifolia (R2 = 0.9914), Cassia siamea (R2 = 0.9986), Inga dulce (R2 = 0.9968), Samanea saman (R2 = 0.9995), and Tamarindus indica (R2 = 0.9976). Hence, Gompertz model can be best adopted while predicting height growth of native species grown under dry land situation.
In all societies, women have claimed equal status with men. It is of a vital importance in modern social science studies, and involves serious research. Progress in attitude, behavior, pattern and legal system is inevitable in all civilized societies. In a progressive society the rights and obligations were determined on the basis of status of an individual. This paper examines historically the status of special reference to Tamil Nadu women. The level of culture of a particular society can very well be judged by the position of women in that society. Women especially the married one, enjoyed a position of respect and authority in the family as well as in society.
Background: Results of artificial insemination (AI) still does not exceed 20-25% because of different factors one of them is male factor infertility. Therefore, the global companies concern on the culture media that used for activation of semen samples of infertile men. However, till now, there are many semen samples did not response to these media leading to failure in AI. The objective of this study is to improve certain sperm function parameters in vitro of asthenoteratospermic patients by using novel combination motility stimulants substances that improved medium to be used for assisted reproductive technologies (such as artificial insemination) in future. One hundred asthenozoospermic patients are involved in this study. They are divided randomly into equal four groups. Each semen sample had been divided into two parts. One part was considered as a control by using Ham’s F10 medium and the other part is considered as treated group by adding the following substances in combination; Pentoxifylline (PF) 1mg/ml, Progesterone (P) 0.409 mg/ml and Glycyrrhiza glabra (Gg) 1mg/ml in the following groups. Group 1:PF and Gg, Group2: PF and P,Group3: Gg and P, and Group4:PF,Gg and P. Sperm function parameters are examined before and following in vitro preparation using wash and spin technique. The results revealed highly significant increment (P<0.01) in the percentage of totalactive sperm motility grades (a+b) andforward progressive sperm motility grade (a) with a significant improvement (P<0.05) in the percentage of progressive sperm motility grade (b) and morphologically normal sperm when using PFand Gg medium in comparison with control medium and other combination medium following 10, 30 and 60 minutes incubation The pentoxifylline is a phosphodiestrase inhibitor of the methylxanthine group which inhibit the degradationof cAMP of the sperm and increase the influx of Ca++ inside the sperm cell leading to increase the sperm motility. The Gg is a herbal plant th
