This study is on the impact of co-operative societies on capital formation using a case study of Temidere-co-operative and Thrift-society, Ijebu-ode, Ogun state. The objectives are to: identify the socio-economic characteristics of the cooperators in the study area; identify the uses of funds of co-operative societies; determine to what extent co-operatives have benefited members in financing their investments; identify problems militating against the effectiveness of co-operative societies; and offer suggestions and recommendations on how to improve the cooperative societies towards enhancing the capital formation of members. The study adopted a non parametric method of analysis which involved Chi-Square method, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to achieve the stated objectives.
Software engineering research is yet in its early stages hence it needs evaluation. So, software engineers think about experimental research and try to adopt analytical approaches to validate results like in other sciences. It should be asserting that requirement engineering process is to use requirements prioritization. The use of requirements prioritization helps the anatomy of requirements and isolates the most important requirements. A lot of prioritization techniques, practices and methodologies are used in software requirements. But lack of empirical search program and proficient methodology, was not decide which should be implemented. In this research, the requirement prioritization for systematical reviews was carried out. Based on systematic review, a framework is introduced for further research within requirement prioritization. This paper described a framework for scrutinize the discussion that take place during requirements elicitation and requirements prioritization. The survey presented in the paper gives a practical view how to prioritize the requirements. It also reflects the requirements prioritization in the industries needs. Which factors of the requirements engineering affect the requirements prioritization.
The annual variation of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) measured over five (5) years period (2005- 2010) at Ilorin (80 32’N, 40 34’E) was studied. The average daily and weekly PAR were obtained and plotted. The behavior of average daily PAR is similar to that obtained for the weekly average. There is a daily and weekly fluctuation in PAR throughout the year. The highest value of PAR is 33.96MJ/m2/day which occurred during the Harmattan period and minimum during the rain period with a value of 22.816MJ/m2/day. The average PAR for the Harmattan and Rain period is found to be 37.585 and 29.125MJ/m2/day respectively, while the average annual PAR is 30.050MJ/m2/day. When PAR is plotted against days of the year, the plot is described by a logarithm fit as y= -1.39ln(x) + 39.91 with a weak correlation R2 = 0.387. Also, when PAR is plotted against weeks of the year, the plot is best described by a logarithm fit as y= -1.56ln(x) + 34.74 with correlation R2 = 0.524.
Databases today are ranging in size into the Tera Bytes. It is an information extraction activity whose goal is to discover hidden facts contained in databases. Typical applications include market segmentation, customer profiling, fraud detection, evaluation of retail promotions, and credit risk analysis. Major Data Mining Tasks and processes include Classification, Clustering, Associations, Visualization, Summarization, Deviation Detection, Estimation, and Link Analysis etc. There are different approaches and techniques used for also known as data mining models and algorithms. Data mining algorithms task is discovering knowledge from massive data sets. In this paper, we are focusing on Classification process in Data Mining.
In this paper we have characterized (LCS)n -manifolds with D -Conformal curvature tensor, concircular curvature tensor and projective curvature tensor.
At present Worldwide, a great research is being conducted concerning the use of fiber reinforced plastic wraps, laminates and sheets in the repair and strengthening of reinforced concrete members. Experimental investigations o the cube and cylinder of concrete beams with and without basalt fiber carried out. They made using each grade of concrete as normal concrete and basalt concrete(M20 & M30).From this study it is estimated that onset onwards basalt concrete specimens increasing strength when compared to control concrete. From the research it was proposed that, the usage of Basalt fibers in low cost composites for civil infrastructure applications gives good mechanical properties like strength and lower cost predicted for basalt fibers.
This study investigated effects of socio – economic survival of Okada riders in Abeokuta and Odeda Local Government Areas of Ogun State, Nigeria on African cultural values. The study was carried out using the questionnaire method to elicit vital information from one hundred respondents who were randomly- selected from ten Okada parks within Abeokuta metropolis and Odeda township respectively. Simple percentage and t-test statistical tools were used to analyse the data. The findings showed that Okada riding, though a lucrative enterprise has its direct and indirect bearing on the cultural values of the society. The recklessness that is associated with the business tends to erode certain cultural and moral values including respect for other road users, respect for authority and elders within the immediate environment. Majority of the riders engaged in the business because of the pressing need to survive and sustain their families. Furthermore, most of the riders did not take the necessary safety precautions, they used foul languages and drank alcohol even during business hours and these reasons have been identified as major causes for their recklessness. In Conclusion, Okada business is lucrative and can add to the Nigerian economy rather than constituting a menace. Riders should be given adequate training on societal ethics. Citizenship education should also form part of the training to be conducted for those intending to get into the trade. They should be encouraged to register properly at zonal and state levels. Moreover, the Federal, State and Local governments authorities should set up regulatory bodies empowered to monitor their activities and mode of operations.
Accelerated business growth has pushed telecommunication companies to implement knowledge management systems to systematically manage knowledge created within the organization. This helps them to retain their competitive edge in the rapid changing telecom sector. This study plan to explore the emerging role of Knowledge Management (KM) system in telecommunication industry. Moreover it also encompasses KM issues related to people and technology in telecom sector. The results of this study are based on field interviews /observations and will be compared with existing body of research in the field.

The study adopted a non parametric method of analysis which involved Chi-Square method, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to achieve the stated objectives. The study revealed that majority of the respondents are males, still in their active age and married, majority have children ranging from 1-3, practice Islam, fairly educated and majority of the respondents are self employed in their various businesses and they are mostly in the management position of their businesses. The results also show that the total amount deposited enhances the capital available to cooperators, majority of the loan collected by the co-operators ranges from ₦20,000 - ₦100,000. Also, the major way by which cooperative societies increase co-operators capital formation is by granting credit services and the problem mostly faced by co-operative societies is the problem of capital It was concluded that co-operative societies have effect on member’s welfare and the role of co-operative societies in poverty reduction and capital formation cannot be overemphasized in the development process of any country particularly Nigeria. The research therefore recommended that the government should assist co-operative societies to improve their capital base through substantial allocation of money to the co-operative societies like the other sectors of the economy.
