This work proposes the coefficients for Angstrom - Prescott type of model for the estimation of global solar radiation in Makurdi, Nigeria using relative sunshine duration alongside the measured global solar radiation data (2001-2010). The model constants a and b obtained in this investigation for Makurdi are .138 and 0.488 respectively. The correlation coefficient of 89% (P=0.00) between the clear sky index and relative sunshine duration, as well as the coefficient of determination, R2 of 79.5 obtained shows that this model fits the data very well. Hence, the very low mean standard error of 0.025 showed a good agreement between the measured and estimated global solar radiation. Consequently, the developed model in this work can be used with confidence for Makurdi, and other locations with similar climate conditions.
This paper is on the 2008 global financial crisis and its implications in Tanzania with a focus on Official Development Assistance (ODA). The author gives an overview of the meaning, nature, causes, impacts and possible solutions for the crisis in Tanzania in general. Informed mainly by a review of literature and experts and practitioners opinion, it is found by the author that the crisis officially started to manifest itself in September 2008 in the financial markets in the United States of America (USA). Since then it has spread not only to financial but also to the real economy to many parts of the world especially in Europe and Asia where the first round effects are rapidly being experienced. In Africa, the second round effects (bounce-on effects) are increasingly being experienced The many direct and indirect, long term and short term impacts are emanating from the global economic recession that is unfolding as a result of the crisis. There have been several strategies to deal with the crisis at macro-and micro-level in various countries. These include but are not limited to various bailout plans and stimulus packages forvarious economies in general and specific sectors and industries in particular
Transaction database is a collection of transactions along with the related time stamps. These transactions are defined using some prototypes. They are called as the Transitional patterns that denote the vibrant nature of the frequent patterns in the database. The considerable high points for the transaction database are the timestamps also called as time durations. They are the points that have the alteration in the recurrence of the prototypes. There is majorly couple of stages in existing TP-Mine algorithm. The initial stage is to find out the frequent patterns and the second stage is to discover Transitional patterns or the styles and the significant milestones. These patterns consist of the two kinds of the styles likely the positive one and the negative one. In the previous time cases the effort that was made on the research was to build up the algorithms by planning the total series of the transitional patterns. In our paper we consider that the alterations made in the consequent period regarding the total concept of database is not noteworthy. So for this reason we have put forward an entirely latest transitional patterns methodology called periodical transitional pattern mining. The experimental outputs are appealing and apparent those were produced by this periodical transitional pattern mining and has high importance that when evaluated utilizing the present patterns.
Rapid development of the human resource management (HRM) discipline has been discussed in this article with the need for more cross-national HRM studies. Thereafter the universal applicability of Anglo-Saxon models of HRM is questioned. In order to examine the applicability of HRM models in various settings (national and international), six major HRM models have been critically analyzed and their main research propositions have been identified. This provides the foundation for a framework for HRM evaluations in diverse contexts. Based on such a framework and developments in the literature, finally, a contextual model is proposed for conducting cross-national and relative HRM studies. The paper also provides some related directions for future research also.
In linear quadratic previewed control, strictly proper systems are used for tracking performance by the feedforward control proportional to the measurable exogenous input. However, state space models that employ sensors to measure exogenous inputs are sometimes biproper. A classical example for biproper system is a small aircraft regulation in cruise condition where the gust inputs are measured but the ride quality is deteriorated. For such systems, the previewed control with a biproper system is required. In this paper, the procedure for strictly proper system is extended and a modified Riccati matrix differential equation for biproper system is presented.
In this paper we prove some results of fixed point theorems in G- Banach space. Our result are version of some known results in ordinary Banach Spaces.
In this paper we present some fixed point theorems with the help of the concept of 􀁚 - distance on cone metric spaces. Our results generalize and extend several well known results in the existing literature.
The literature existing on entrepreneurship implicitly assumes that entrepreneurship and government and economic growth are positively related with each other and there is a positive correlation among them. However, few studies, whether theoretical or empirical, analyze such relation in an explicit manner. This paper aims to study the entrepreneurship notion and the barriers of entrepreneurship and mainly the role of government in enhancing entrepreneurship in the society.
One of the impacts of the Second World War (WWII) is the movement from the strict reliance on theprinciple of state sovereignty or vjurisdiction to the concept of universality. 1The conceptgave impetus to and culminatedin the adoption ofplethora of human rights instruments. Under the UnitedNations auspices, the Universal Declaration of HumanRights was adopted in 1948; 2and today it “represents amajor milestone in human progress.” 3 It is also the“corner stone of contemporary human rights law,” 4 O
