Eight red common bean varieties were evaluated in Borecha district of Sidama Zone using Randomized complete block design replicated in four villages. Phenotypic traits such as yield and yield component was measured and evaluated. Significant (P < 0.05) to highly significant (P < 0.01) were observed in days to 50% flowering, days to 95% physiological maturity, plant height, Biomass, grain yield, pod length, pod per plant, 100 seed weight, seed per pod and branch per plant. Genotypes yield stability across the villages was estimated by Additive Main Effects and Multiplicative Interaction Analysis (AMMI). The genotype named ‘Nasir’ is stable variety across the villages (environment). However, Dimtu and Hawassa dume was stable and out performed at village 1 & 3 even if high environment interaction was observed on village 4.
