This paper presents a comparison of isolated pad footing with the Beam-Slab Isolated footing. In this paper beams have been introduced in the isolated pad footing to accommodate the tension in the footing. This in return reduces the overall depth of the footing. The design has been carried out to satisfy the Flexural and shear values for the foundation as per IS 456:2000. The diameter of the bar is decided such as to ensure that the area of steel provided is closest to the steel required as per the Limit State Design. Graphs are prepared to analyze the steel and concrete required for varying sizes of the footing (starting from 1m upto 6 m with a 0.5m increment) and comparing the values for 415 and Fe 500 steel values
