This study explored the viewpoints of teachers and children about teacher’s role in free play at a play-based child care center, and sought the implication of the differences. For this aim, I used participant observation of free playtime at a child care center that advocated play-centered curriculum, and interviewed teachers and children. Results indicated both similarity and difference in their viewpoints. While teachers regarded their primary role as “a playmate” who played with children in free play time, children perceived their teachers as someone “like a friend” rather than “a friend.” However, both teachers and children regarded teacher’s role in free play as the planner of play: “leading children to the goal” through free play and “planning the play.” Also, children perceived various differences between teachers and themselves, and placed meanings to play motive, suggesting that the difference in viewpoints to the role of teachers at free play possibly comes from the discrepant interpretation of play. This study provides practical implication for teachers’ interaction with children in play by helping us understand the viewpoints of children about teacher’s role in play.
Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic, multifaceted disorder caused by reduction in insulin action and secretion or the both, it’s characterized by hyperglycemia and disruption of the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, over time, it results in small and large vessels complications and neuropathies. This disease is ranked as the third cause of death and leading factor of blindness. One of the most overlooked of all serious complications of diabetes is cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy (CAN), which encompasses damage to the autonomic nerve fibers that innervate the heart and blood vessels, resulting in abnormalities in heart rate control and vascular dynamics The complications of diabetes mellitus are macro and micro vascular disorders, central, Peripheral and autonomic neuropathy. The autonomic neuropathy is the most common complication of the long standing diabetes Autonomic neuropathy is a well recognised complication of diabetes mellitus, and its incidence has been reported to be 20 - 40%.
The eigen-properties of the cylindrical coaxial cavity have been investigated by FEM. The eigen-equation has been constructed basing on tangential edge vectors of the tetrahedral element. It was retreated with the shift-invert strategy to maintain the calculation stability. Krylov- Schur iteration method has been applied to it in order to obtain the eigen-pairs of TM and TE modes. Eigen-modes were calculated from the unitary similar transforming matrices of this iteration loop. Eigen-values have been determined from diagonal components of the Schur matrix. The eigen-pairs have been revealed as a result in the schematic representations for each modes. The eigen-modes were so complex that the surface features also have been shown in accompanying with them to identify their characteristics.
Information Technology has been playing a vital role in the future development of financial sectors and the way of doing business in an emerging economy like Bangladesh. Increased use of smart mobile services and internet as a new distribution channel for business transactions and international trading requires more attention towards e-commerce security for reducing the fraudulent activities. The advancement of Information and Communication technology has brought a lot of changes in all spheres of daily life of human being. E-commerce has a lot of benefits which add value to customer’s satisfaction in terms of customer convenience in any place and enables the company to gain more competitive advantage over the other competitors. This study predicts some challenges in an emerging economy.
Currently there are a number of macroeconomic problems which hinders the survival of the people of which inflation is a first and knife-edge problem. The research is carried out in Ambo town, which is located in Oromia regional state Western Shoa Zone, Ethiopia. It deals with the overall effects of price hike of food grains on different groups of consumers with different income levels in Ambo town. While conducting the research Descriptive type of research is employed. Both from primary and secondary data were used. Primary data is collected from consumers of the town, which are randomly selected whereas; secondary data is gathered from the bureaus that the issue is concerned. Great emphasis has given for some selected variables, which are directly related with title of study.
In this article we consider finite field of order p2 (p ≠ 2). We provide matrix representation of finite field of order at most p2 =121. However this article provides a technique to yield matrix field of order p2 for every prime p > 2 .
With the advent of online banking more and more users are willing to make purchases online and doing so flourishes the online E-Business sector ever so more. Attackers are ever so vigilant and active now on web than ever to leverage the insecure web application and database that is out there on the internet to exploit. Today’s internet as we see are heavily integrated with sophisticated network whether it’s wired or wireless network. But the inherent compliancy to not integrating security while developing application leave it vulnerable to many attacks. One of the attack that has been prevalent now-a-days is: session hijacking.
The largest population of livestock in Africa is found in Ethiopia. The country produces about 3.2 billion litters of milk annually from 10 million milking cows. Yogurt processing is one of the ways to prolong the shelf life of milk. Thus a low-cost yogurt incubator suitable for small scale production which was equipped with a microcontroller was developed. The main components of the incubator include the microcontroller and temperature sensor, alarm circuit, power supply circuit, and the embedded program. The incubation chamber was made of a locally available ½ inch ordinary plywood. The components were assembled and installed after the incubation chamber was constructed. The operating temperature of the incubator was set at 42oC (±1oC). The incubator was tested using one litter of pasteurized cow’s milk inoculated with Lactobacillus bacteria. The inoculated milk was placed in bottles and incubated for 24 hours. Results of the sensory test showed that the incubator produced a good quality yogurt comparable to that being sold in the area.
The main objective of this study is to examine the existing situation of results of the graduate students at Islamic University in Kushtia, Bangladesh as well as to identify the factors associated behind this issue. An analysis has been performed by using the primary data which collected form the graduate students of Islamic University under simple random sampling technique. Chi-square test for dependency checking has been performed as Bivariate analysis. After performing Bivariate analysis Multinomial logistic regression analysis has been performed. The result of the study has revealed that the factors like SSC and HSC results of the student, Parental academic qualification, Higher family income, residential in hall, student’s class attendance, study time without class period have a positive impact and the factors like students’ internet use for non-academic purpose, political status, mobile phone using for non academic purpose in the University have a negative impact of students academic results.
One of the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals in 2000 is the achievement of a global partnership for development, including a fair global trade system. The globalized development is based on market freedom, the rule of law, individual liberties and observance of human rights (Markus, 2005). The globalized world provides opportunities for marketing national product and purchasing global goods. The greatest challenge precipitated by globalization is competition. For a country like Kenya to adequately benefit from a globalized world, it requires to have citizens with indigenous innovative skills to enable the nation favourably compete with other nations. To achieve meaningful competition and marketing of Kenyan ideas, citizens should have a strong and clear national identity reflected in their national and moral principles.
