This paper presents a review of data mining techniques for the fraud detection. Development of information systems such as data due to it has become a source of important organizations. Method and techniques are required for efficient access to data, sharing the data, extracting information from data and using this information. In recent years, data mining technology is an important method that it has changed to extract concepts from the data set. Scientific data mining and business intelligence technology is as a valuable and some what hidden to provide large volumes of data. This research studies using service analyzes software annual transactions related to 20000 account number of financial institutions in the country. The main data mining techniques used for financial fraud detection (FFD) are logistic models, neural networks and decision trees, all of which provide primarysolutions to the problems inherent in the detection and classification of fraudulent data. The proposed method is clustering clients based on client type. An appropriate rule for each cluster is determined by the behavior of group members in case of deviation from specified behavior will be known among suspected cases. The rules of the C5 have been applied in decision tree algorithm. Model is able to extract about a lot of the rules related to client behavior.
The waterfront development as a global phenomenon has been disclosed by studies at different perspectives. This study inquires the interrelationship between development units and development bodies and therefore stresses that development units with diverse attributes should be developed by different development bodies since the failure of adequate match between the former and the latter results in the underdeveloped development functions and values. This study presents the interrelationship between development units and development bodies through a waterfront development project in Taiwan. The seemingly simple development principle that is overlooked in many waterfront development projects has caused the procrastination or even the failure of development projects.
Wireless ad hoc network nodes together establish a network infrastructure without using any access points or base stations for communicates using multi hop schemes. It has significant characteristics like dynamic topologies, constrained in bandwidth and limited resource a high challenge in implementing security with optimized energy resource utilization which is the key aspects while designing modern ad hoc networks architecture. Ad hoc Networks nodes are limited in broadcast range, and also their capabilities of computation and storage are well limited to their energy resources. This limitation of resources in wireless ad hoc creates high challenges in incorporating security mechanism for routing security and privacy maintenance. This paper investigates the various issues and challenges in secure routing and energy optimization during communication in wireless ad hoc network towards security and secure energy utilization improvisation.
Aims: This study is to isolate and characterized the bacterial isolates associated with pneumonia in Sudanese camels using different methods and test the sensitivity of some isolates to antibiotics. Study design: A total of 800 affected lung samples were collected from 400 camels (Camelus dromedarius ) of different ages, seasons and part of the Sudan. Place and Duration of Study: The study was undertaken in the laboratories of the Veterinary Research Institute, Ministry of animal resources and fisheries during 2009 to 2013. Methodology: The bacterial isolates were characterized by three different methods: the conventional, Api kits and automated Vitek 2 Compact System. Fourteen of the Gram negative and 11 of the Gram positive bacterial isolates were tested for sensitivity to antibiotics by the Vitek 2 Compact using a sensitivity card which contained 20-21 antibiotics.
The aim of our article is to scrutinize the practices of corporate social responsibility (CSR) of AB Bank in Bangladesh as well as give some suggestions based on findings. The study found that total CSR expenditure of AB bank has been increasing over the years but the growth rate of total CSR expenditure is seen decreasing trend. The study also found that growth rate of CSR expenditure on education and environment sector decreased in 2013 compared to the previous years. So for the wellbeing of the society CSR expenditure of AB Bank should increase much more. This study further found that the CSR practices of Bangladesh are confined within some selected sectors. Therefore this study suggests some possible areas should be considered for CSR activities. This Study further suggests that a proper guideline by Government regarding CSR contribution, involvement of large corporation in CSR activities and mandating CSR disclosures in the annual report will fulfill the intended goals of the corporate organizations and also ensure a successful and sustainable development of the society.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the national economy in Bangladesh. This sector is playing an important role to develop the economy of our country. The role SMEs sector is immense to alleviate the poverty from the country as well. Small and Medium enterprises are particularly suitable for the densely populated countries like Bangladesh where SME sector can provide huge employment opportunity with much lower investment. They are expected to create jobs, reduce poverty, and drive a resilient national economy. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Country Report (2012)1indicated that SMEs in Bangladesh accounted for more than 99% of private sectorindustrial establishments and created job opportunities for 70%–80% of the nonagricultural labor force. In the paper a questionnaire has been constructedandused SPSS 20 version software to analyze the data This paper is, therefore, an attempt to analyze various issues, prospects and challenges of financing this particular sector and find out the ways to overcomethese challenges. It will also survey various literatures and reports on the concerned field and recommend supporting actions to help this highly prospective industrial sector to operate in a fully yielding manner.
This study examines the effect of work environment on employees’ commitment in agro-based industries in Cross River State, Nigeria. The study drew participants from two major agro industries in the state. One thousand, one hundred and ninety four (1194) respondents were purposively selected for the study. Information was elucidated from participants using four point Likert scale questionnaire. Data obtained was analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation (r). Findings revealed that work environment such as consistent communication flow, manageable workload, availability of electricity, and work place that is free from known dangers are positively associated with employees’ commitment, and hence performance. The study recommended among others that management of agro-based industries in Cross River State should establish and promote good work environments in their organizations so as to boost employees’ commitment, wellbeing and overall performance and productivity.
Software testing starts with verification and validation and fulfills the requirement of the customer. Testing can be done by automation tool like Win runner, QTP or manually. If we talk about manual testing it takes lot of time and manpower also so nowadays we are using automation software. When we talk about automation testing so the cost of such kind of testing is very high so each company cannot afford. In this paper we are presenting agent based testing which is helpful for both kind of testing. Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) are characterized by autonomous and collaborative behaviors [1, 2]. Developing such systems is a complex process. As a result, a methodology for developing MAS is highly necessary. In this paper, a methodology using roles and ontology for such a purpose is presented [2]. The functionality of roles is estimated in the various phases of the MAS development. It is based on an emphasis on the properties and behaviors associated with each agent in MAS.
Manet is a collection of self-organizing mobile nodes participating in the network to forward packets for each other. However, some nodes in the network do not forward packets in order to save their energy. But these nodes make use of other nodes to forward their packets. Such unfair use of the network leads to degradation of its performance. So it is very important to detect such misbehaving nodes in the network. So in order to improve network performance we propose a scheme that is a combination of overhearing and acknowledgement based method to detect misbehaving nodes. The scheme is proposed to be built on top of DSR routing protocol.
In the age of information, cryptography is a predominant obligation for the security of our documents. Cryptography inclusive of authentication, integrity, confidentiality and non-repudiation has lot to offer. To protect users’ information and their data from being attacked, encryption and digital signature algorithms could be utilized with distinct approaches to administer secure network and security solutions. In the current scenario, encryption alone cannot withstand the novel attacks; for notable security, we require encryption with digital signature. In this paper symmetric, asymmetric algorithm and digital signature techniques are proposed to elevate security. ElGamal encryption algorithm, ElGamal digital signature algorithm and IDEA algorithms are employed in the proposed methodology.
