A novel protease producing bacterium was isolated from the natural source. Gram staining & spore staining showed that the organism is gram positive and forms spore during adverse condition in the growth medium. After various tests it was suggested and the features agreed with the description of Bacillus subtilis in Bergey’s Manual of Systematic Bacteriology [20]. It was also identified as B. subtilis with 99.9% identity by API 50 CHB and was also characterized and identified by using a bioinformatics tool PIB (Probabilistic Identification of Bacteria) that suggests the organism was B. subtilis (ID=0.9760).
The nexus between the local government and democratic governance has been keenly explored on intense academic debates. Recent debates has aimed at beaming attentions on systems such as poor service delivery, lack of accountability, corruption, non-involvement of the people in policy formulation and implementation, poor staffing and total lack of autonomy and by omission leaving out the viral influence of caretaker committees in the debate. The paper therefore, examined this phenomenon by asking the question as to whether the caretaker committee hindered democratic governance in the local government system in Anambra State between the years 2003-2014. The methodology adopted in the study is thematic (i.e. content) analysis. The study revealed that, the use of caretaker committees to run the affairs of the local governments between the years 2003-2014 has been the basic reason for the colossal failures of the grass root development in Anambra State. That the running of the local governments with caretaker committees has had three major negative effects which are: - Political, - Economic, and – Social. The paper thus, recommended for a free and transparent election at the grassroot level, devoid of manipulations as was the case in the State
Unlike the market slowdown of industrial robots, service & entertainment robots have been highly regarded by most robotics reseach and market research agencies. In this study we developed a music playing robot (which can also work as a service robot) for public performance. The research is mainly focused on the mechanical and electrical control of piano-playing robot, the exploration of correlations among music theory, rhythm and piano keys, and eventually the research on playing skill of keyboard instrument. The pianoplaying robot is capable of control linear motor, servo-motor and pneumatic devices in accordance with the notes and rhythm in order to drive the mechanical structure to proper positions for pressing the keys and generating music. The devices used for this robot are mainly crucial components produced by HIWIN Technology Corp. The design of robotic hand is based on the direction of anthropomorphic hand such that five fingers will be used for playing piano. The finger actuations include actions of finger rotation, finger pressing, and finger lifting; time required for these 3 stages must meet the requirement of rhythm. The purpose of entertainment robot can be achieved by playing electric piano with robotic hand, and we hope this research can contribute to the development of domestic entertainment music playing robots.
In this research, the performances of pH value on shear strength behavior of granular soil have been studied. The shear strength of soil is an important term in most of the foundation engineering problems such as the bearing capacity of shallow foundation, slope stability of dam/embankment and lateral earth pressure on retaining walls. A series of direct shear test were conducted on two types of dry granular soils (taken from Rangpur and Rajshahi areas of Bangladesh) with different pH value (pH=0, pH=3.0, pH=5.0, pH=7.0 and pH=9.0). Hydrochloric acid (HCl) and ammonia (NH4) solution were used to monitor the pH of the solution for about thirty days. In all, 15 specimens of each type of soils were considered for direct shear test with dry condition at a constant density. The specimens were prepared by static compaction with different pH values solution (0, 3, 5, 7and 9) at same void ratio. Experiment result shows that the shear strength increase with increase of pH values of soil.
Human exposure to toxic heavy metals creates a major health hazards. The main objectives of our study was to examine the concentration of toxic heavy metals like Lead (Pb), Copper(Cu), Nickel(Ni), Zinc(Zn), Manganese(Mn), Chromium(Cr) and Cadmium(Cd) in locally made food containers purchased from various districts of U.P (India). All samples are analyzed at 60±2°C for 2hrs in different simulating solvents as per BIS, IP, USP and other guidelines by using atomic absorption spectrophotometer(AAS). The results shows that leaching of heavy metals occur in all samples and follows the order: Pb(1.9-0.0001 ppm) > Cu(1.61-0.0001 ppm) >Ni(1.31-0.001 ppm) > Zn(1.02 -0.001 ppm) > Mn(1.01-0.0001 ppm) > Cr(0.14-0.0001 ppm) > Cd(0.01-0.0001 ppm).
Since the Silk Road Economic Belt is proposed, many areas, countries and provinces have established the development strategy, to strengthen regional exchanges and cooperation. The Silk Road Economic Belt city forum held in the big city of China and the five Central Asian countries. Most of these regions have layout around the warehousing and transportation, commerce & trade logistics, regional finance, tourism and cultural exchange industry. The vanguard and hub strategy in Shaanxi province; golden section in Gansu province and major scenic spots of Xinjiang strategic fulcrum of positioning strategy. The emergence of the industrial layout duplication is inevitable due to lack of communication, positioning and lack of overall strategy. Therefore, find out the advantages of accurate positioning, not only conducive to the development of regional economy, but also has important strategic meaning to promote the overall development of the economic belt of the Silk Road.
Purpose: This research study aims to investigate that how industrial sector firms decide about their capital structure with reference to risk exposure. This research concludes about the manager’s behavior with respect to business risk, profitability, firm size and sales growth. Design/methodology/approach: Data of industrial sector of Jordan, over the period of 2009-2011 is used for this study. Linear regression model is used for data analysis. Findings: This research study results show that industrial sectors firm’s managers are risk averse, whereas sales growth and firm size are positively related to financial policy decision. Profitability is negatively related with financial policy of the firm.
The Field of `Between´ is a central concept in scientific theory which I developed in 2006. Since 2008 I have presented and discussed it in my lectures “Natural Philosophy and Natural Science“ as well as in other lectures in Central Europe and abroad. At the Interdisciplinary Symposium of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2009, organised in co-operation of the Academy’s Centres at Vienna and Warsaw, this topic was one of the keynotes running through the whole Symposium. On the occasion of the new publication of a revised version in English, I shall explain briefly what constitutes the essential parts of this core concept.
As far as Learning Management System is concerned, it offers an integrated platform for educational materials, distribution and management of learning as well as accessibility by a range of users in cluding teachers, learners and content makerses pecially for distance learning. Usability evaluation is considered as one approach to assess the efficiency of e-Learning systems. It is used to evaluate how well technology and tools are working for users. There are some factors contributing as major reasons why the LMS is not used effectively and regularly. Learning Management Systems, as major part of e-Learning systems, can benefit from usability research to evaluate the LMS ease of use and satisfaction among its handlers. Many academic institutions worldwide prefer using their own customized Learning Management Systems; this is the case with Moodle, an open source LMS platform designed and operated by most of the universities in Sri Lanka.
This article talks about need of Directors Training as well as it summarizes what the law requires in different jurisdictions, and at the end it distinguishes for each country whether these requirements are mandatory or voluntary. In a world of instant communication and ever changing business models, the traditional task of the Professionals in business is evolving. The mounting drift focus on: • Increased governance requirements • More regulations • More emphasis on documentation • More intervention from governments
