This paper took 30 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government as sample and used the provincial panel data from 2000 to 2013, constructed a static and dynamic panel data model, analyzed the relationship among human capital, innovation and the quality of economic growth and came to a conclusion that: â‘  the first-order lag item of quality of economic growth, the human capital of bachelor degree or above education, innovation, urbanization and industrial structure are positively correlated with the quality of economic growth â‘¡ however, the human capital of post-secondary education and marketization are not effective predictor of quality of economic growth in China. Therefore, to positively promote the quality of economic growth in China, duly attention should be paid to human capital investment, innovation promotion, urbanization advancement as well as adjustment of industrial structure.
Aim: The aim of the study is to evaluate thyroid status, Oxidative stress & lipid profile levels in abnormal and normal pregnancies. Material and Methods: The study includes 25 abnormal pregnant women, 25 normally healthy pregnant women. Ages ranged from 20 to 30 years. Thyroid status was estimated by ELISA method. For determination of oxidative stress Malandialdehyde (MDA) is estimated as oxidants by TBARS, Uric acid is estimated by pap method, cholesterol & HDL-C by CHOD-POD method, triglycerides by GPO-POD method. Results: In the present study, we observed that TSH is significantly increased compared to normal pregnancies TSH and FT4 are slightly decreased compared to normal pregnancies. In the present study cholesterol levels were increased in abnormal pregnancies compared to normal pregnancies and decrease in HDL cholesterol were observed in preeclamptic and eclamptic pregnant women.
This paper presents the findings of a qualitative case study of how 8 student teachers’ experiences of teachers’ professional identity within the context of curriculum change in a university in KwaZulu Natal. The students described their personal experiences in teaching during teaching practice from which two major themes stood out; the complicated demand teaching places on the student teacher and professional development. In analyzing the data, the researcher further categorized it into four themes based on emerging trends; the single self and the multiple self, becoming a teacher and teaching skills. Several shortcomings in teacher education were discovered and teacher educators and stakeholders were called upon to restructure teacher education programs based on the kind of challenges student teachers are facing. The researcher used the social constructionist theory to give meaning to the experiences of student teachers.
In our study we synthesized schiff’ base of sulphadiazine on treating with aromatic aldehydes like para diethyl amino benzyldehyde and paradimethyl amino benzyldehyde. The synthesized schiff’s bases were converted to its cationic amphiphilic bases by treating with methyl iodide. The cationic schiff bases were converted to metal complexes by treating with metals like copper chloride (CuCl2), zinc chloride (ZnCl2) and cadmium chloride (CdCl2). All the synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and H1 NMR. Synthesized compounds were screened for anti-inflammatory and antidepressant activity. Copper metal complexes showed excellent anti-inflammatory activity and zinc metal complexes showed excellent antidepressant activity.
Today much relevant questions concern Who get what, when and how?, due to the incredible rise in the remuneration of the economic, cultural and political elites in the large organisations around the world. A suitable conceptual framework for the analysis of the fundamental question, namely Cui Bono?, is the principal-agent approach from recent advances in game theory. The skyrocketing of the salaries and bonuses of CEO:s in the private sector and the spreading out of corrupt practices in the public sector forces the social science to ask the quid pro quo question about the relationship between the remuneration of agents and their delivery of outputs to the principal. It is truly fruitful for the understanding of political organisation in whatever form it takes. Politics everywhere is about contracting, introducing a web of contracts between principal and agents. The shape of these contracts determines the real constitution of a country.
The anti-ulcer activity of hydro alcoholic extract of Rhus coriaria Linn (HAERC) was investigated in Indomethacin and Water immersion-induced restraint gastric ulcer in Wistar rats. The assessment was carried out by using ulcer index, ulcer score and histopathological studies of the specimens. HAERC at doses of 145 and 248 mg/kg given orally produced significant inhibition of the gastric lesions induced by Indomethacin and Water Immersion restraint method and the results were comparable to the standard treatment regime. We observed that Rhus coriaria Linn extract exhibits significant anti ulcer activity and thus supports the Unani claims about the drug.
According to Financial Times Limited (2013), the digital revolution has made many business models obsolete and advertising companies see this as a welcome change. Online social networking and internal structural changes in the media market have changed how online advertising is done. This change has many concurrent forms and implications, and the most apparent of them might be the change in the various strategies and tactics companies are adapting in response to said changes; mainly advertising online in the form of native advertising; while one company is inhibiting media profitability in its current form, at the same time furthering the its corporate sponsors’ agenda to promote and implement native advertising- or “non-intrusive” advertising- as the norm of online advertising.
The worship mode of Africans is often enriched by songs that contain expressions of their faith, recount stories or render praise to God. They have taken pleasure and given regard to composing these songs in their local dialect, thus communicating the essence of Bible messages in ways that English language could not have been able to do. These songs have done much in Church teaching, indicating that mother tongue is a key factor in communicating to a larger audience in Kwambai community. Though English language was the original medium through which Christianity was propagated among them, the people have adopted and modified the gospel message to suit their needs. The assessment in this study relied on observation and unstructured interviews with song composers and other members of the community. The study opines that the role of mother tongue in communication cannot be underplayed if people in local communities will be reached with the message of the Gospel.
This study aimed to determine if the level of information included in audit reports was related to the average stock value of companies as listed in the Brazilian capital market. Of 255 companies, 44 financial entities were excluded because they operate in regulatory and competitive environments that are different from the other studied companies. The selected companies had at least one audit report over a 5-year period (2005 to 2009), which resulted in a final sample of 33 companies and a total of 165 observations. The study first analyzed the information content in the audit reports, and statistical analyses were then performed to compare the data. The results showed that the disclosure of accounting practices has a positive explanatory effect on the average share price variance.
Background: Dentists who routinely treat children will encounter some patients whose behaviour cannot be managed adequately even with the use of medication and restrains. Young children with lacking cooperative ability having extensive dental caries or children with certain systemic conditions like cerebral palsy who cannot adequately control their own physical movements and mentally handicapped children are some of the cases where pharmacological means of behaviour management for dental treatment is indicated. In such situations dentist can opt for treatment under conscious or deep sedation or a treatment under general anaesthesia. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to present few case series of children with both systemic condition and severe dental condition that required dental treatment under general anaesthesia. Conclusion: General anaesthesia can assist in providing quality dental care in such patients who could not be treated otherwise. It should not be used routinely for the convenience of the dental team, but rather should be seen as the last resource for treatment.
