The skin is a complex and the largest organ of the body. Because of complexity a wide range of diseases can occur in the skin, like tumors from surface epidermis, which is most exposed part to harsh environment and its pollutants. Diagnosis of any skin tumors can be done by correlating clinical features and histological features. This study “incidence of squamous cell carcinoma in Karnataka” was carried out for 18 months, from November 2005 to April 2007. 54 skin tumors were studied. Out of these 54 cases, 14 were diagnosed as benign tumors and 40 as malignant tumors. The malignant tumors constituted 74.07%.Skin tumors constitute a small but significant proportion of patients with cancer. Unlike in the Western countries, SCC is the commonest histological variety. In this century, the carcinogenic potential of both chemicals and radiation cannot be ignored.
The most important characteristics of many engineering objects are their strength and reliability. To determine the probability of an object failure according to the strength criterion, it is necessary to know the laws of distribution of the actual and ultimate stresses. However the processing of actual data on the acting and ultimate stresses indicates that these data cannot be described by the known laws of the parametric statistical theory. This paper proposes a new approach to the solution of the problem, which is based on the application of the mathematical apparatus of nonparametric statistics. The considered approach of calculating the probability of a failure and the quantile estimates of the safety factor of machine parts are universal. They allow estimation of the strength reliability of items regardless of the complexity of the laws of distribution of random values of the actual and ultimate stresses.
Enterprises with a growing obligation to sustain their business activities in economic environments of increased levels of uncertainty and risk as a result of the novel circumstances of a developing and changing world and the diverse influences thereof, must be in a position to assess these uncertainties and risks in an accurate manner and develop preparedness for potential crises. Contemporary studies point out that the fact that an enterprise faces a crisis is not necessarily as much of an issue as the type and the timing of that crisis and how prepared the organization is to tackle it. The most effective and decisive elements of crisis management are proper forecasting and the minimization of the adverse effects of a crisis through a timely application of appropriate preparedness measures. In this respect, this paper first presents a general theoretical framework for crises and crisis management, followed by a survey into the perception of crisis and crisis management held by small and medium s ized e nterprises a ctive a t t he G aziantep B aspınar industrial zone.
Abstract- The rapid growth in the usage of the internet had led to many serious security issues in the network. The intrusion detection system (IDS) is one of the sophisticated defensive systems used to detect the malicious activities happening in the network services across the world.Hence, more advanced IDS are been developed in past few years. To improve the performance of the IDS, the system has to be trained effectively to increase the efficiency and decrease the false alarm rate. To train the system the attributes selection plays the major role. This paper evaluates and compares the performance of the intrusion detection systems for different feature reduction techniques in high speed networks.

Several key concepts were defined. The goals and objectives of business education were highlighted. Also highlighted were the 21st century skills and their relevance to life and employment, the current business education curriculum and technology, the challenges of the 21st century and emerging global issues. Finally the paper proffered suggestion for enriching the business education curriculum for sustainable employment, not just within the country but also in the global labour marker.
Our paper tries to examine the relationship between investor sentiment and its effect on assets pricing. To this end, we proceeded in two ways. First, we conducted econometric tests to identify the investor sentiment measure that best reflects variations not explained by fundamentals. As part of this empirical study, we used two measures of investor sentiment based on sample surveys. The tests show that the investor sentiment index of SENTAAII is the most appropriate proxy that explains variations unexplained by fundamentals in the American market. Second, inspired by the work of DSSW (1990), we tested the impact of "noise trader" risk, both on excess returns and on their volatilities. To this end, we used a TGARCH-M model which, like Lee, Jiang and Indro (2004), to examine the relationship between market volatility, excess returns and investor sentiment. Our results on the American market show, first, that change in investor sentiment has a significant effect on excess returns. On the other hand, change in investor sentiment has a significant effect on the conditional volatility of the American stock market which causes an increase (decrease) in excess returns.
This project is aimed at developing web application which provide services for an education institution such as requesting leave, reserving books and posting suggestions. It is an Intranet based web-application which can be accessed by all the students and faculties throughout the department. A different access level login has been provided for students, faculties and the head of the department to access the services. This application can be used to automate the workflow of leave applications and their approvals. Through this application students can send a leave request to both the head of the department and the faculty. Each and every leave request of the students will be stored in the database. Thus the students who took leave frequently can be identified easily by the head of the department. There are options available for the students and faculties to reserve the books from the department library. A library catalogue has been provided with this application so that the desired books and magazines can be searched and reserved at anytime. After the reservation details are verified, the librarian or the managing staff will issue the books. In addition to this, department functions and upcoming events can be viewed through an event calendar. Innovative thoughts and ideas are always accepted by the department, the Feedback or Suggestion Box scheme provided by this application gives an opportunity for the students to give their creative idea and getting them to be implemented for achieving department excellence
The arising of business globalization in recent decades changed the market of symbolic goods, in the soccer field, in a billionaire and complex business. These factors led to radical changes in the form of consumption of this sport, which generated a great increase in revenues to the teams, grounded in marketing models of major European leagues. Through descriptive research, ex-post-factum, using the technique of in-depth interviews with managers and project participants for subsequent content analysis, this research sought to identify the strategies employed to value the Corinthians brand (soccer team from São Paulo, Brazil)in a perspective of business strategy. The survey results, point out the importance of entrepreneurial vision to explore the valuable, rare, inimitable and irreplaceable resources present in VRIO model, as stated by the Resources Business View (RBV) theory, to achieve differentiated positioning. Limitations of the research are in proper character of the phenomenological method that favors the rescue of "original speech" of the project participants as it was done in this case. So it is not recommended one could make generalizations of the results presented, although it represents a significant and real context of soccer business in Brazil.

Background: The present study analyzes the clinical profile, identifies the pathogenic distribution and their antimicrobial susceptibility pattern in childhood urinary tract infections in order to provide standard reference for the optimal use of antibiotics in Nepal. Methods: A hospital based cross section study was conducted among children suspected of urinary tract infection in Kanti Children’s Hospital over a period of six months from August 2012 to November 2012. A total of 1890both sexes, ranging from post natal period to 14 years of age were studied. The modes of presentation, laboratory investigation reports, which included urine routine microscopy, bacterial isolation with colony count from urine culture, antibiotic sensitivity pattern and multidrug resistant profile, were documented. Data were analyzed by the Chi Square Test. Results: Among 1890 urine samples, 300(15.88%) showed culture positive result: 256 gram negative organisms and 44 gram positive organisms. Among the positive growth samples 144(48%) were male patients and 156(52%) were female patients.; Escherichia coli was most common organisms isolated (52.33%), followed by Klebsiella spp (17.33%), Staphylococcus aureus(14%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (4.33%), Proteus spp (3.67%), Citrobacter spp (3%), Acinetobacter spp(1.66%), Enterobacter spp and Hafnia alvei (1.33%), Streptococcus spp (0.66%) and Salmonella paratyphi B(0.33%). Nitrofurantoin was found to have the highest sensitivity (71.67%) amongst most bacteria. Amikacin, Norfloxacin and Gentamicin had sensitivity of 69%, 61.71% and 61.67% respectively. Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 100% sensitive to Tobramycin, Piperacillin and Imipenem. Though sensitivity to Vancomycin was tested to 44 cases it was 100% sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus fecalis. Highest degree of resistance was noted with Ceftazidime (64%), Ofloxacin (61.33%), Ampicillin (60%), ciprofloxacin (55.67%), Cotrimoxazole (52%), Gentamicin (38.33%), Amikacin (28%) and
