In this paper an attempt has been made to establish new transformation formula for the basic hypergeometric function of n variable.
Effect of compounding investigated theoretically by finite element modeling. The variables are interference radius & shrinkage tolerance. Equivalent von Mises stress is used as yield criterion to evaluate the optimum interference radius. For two different working pressure the effect of the ratio of outer & inner radius (b/a=k) value on the optimum interference radius is also noticed. The optimum interference radius solely depends on shrinkage tolerance. Furthermore, percentage reduction of von Mises tolerance is compared for different working pressures & different k values as well as for different materials.
This paper investigates the causal relationship between exchange rate, balance of payment, external debt, external reserves, gross domestic product growth rate and inflation rate in Nigeria post Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP). Annual time series data 1987-2011 were used as the research sample period. The data were sourced from CBN Statistical Bulletin and Annual Reports of various years. We applied the ADF and PP unit root tests to check the stationarity of the variables. Gross domestic product growth rate and external reserve were stationary at both levels I (0) and I (1). The Johansen cointegration test, equation estimation and Granger causality tests were applied. Johansen cointegration result shows that there exists a long-run equilibrium relationship among the indicators. The Granger causality test between the dependent and independent variables shows a unidirectional causality from exchange rate to BOP, external reserves and gross domestic product growth rate. The independent variables indicate a unidirectional causality from gross domestic product growth rate to external reserve.
Grameen Motsho O Pashusampad (Fisheries and Livestock) Foundation (GMPF)-is a sister organization of Grameen Bank (GB) involves in livestock and fish culture, mobilizing poor people engage in livestock and fish production, agriculture, horticulture, homestead gardening, social forestation and bio-gas plants and other community green income generating economic activities to bring improvement in the quality of life of the poor, in particular of poor women. GMPF is managing leased of 1035 Khas (public) ponds having 2557.3 acres of water bodiesand 20 fish seed farms leased from the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) for 25 years. The objectives of this study is to examine the policies, strategies and approaches of GMPF community economic development (CED) and to link CED concept with GMPF activities if it benefits to local poor people in Bangladesh. The study research questions are is Grameen Motsho O PashuSampoad Foundation (GMPF) a CED program in Bangladesh? If so, how it works, what approaches and strategies it follows, what are challenges it faces in implementing its programs in Bangladesh. The author writes this paper from his pre-and post-GMPF working experience. The paper contains author’s live experience, review literature, secondary data and interpretative method of analysis.
By extending the findings of Hu’s (2001) investigation on how socio-psychological variables and EFL students’ English language proficiency are related, this study examines the demographic significance between different target groups and the subsequent implications towards predictions of EFL proficiency, thereby further assisting EFL practitioners.Stepwise multiple regression analyses reveal that as the predominant factor, self-confidence, accounts for 39% of the variance in determining the prediction of English language proficiency among Taiwanese students in a technological institute. This finding contrasts with that of Hu (2001), in which motivation accounts for the largest determinant among Taiwanese university students.University students slightly outperform technological institute students (Hu, 2007, 2011) in terms of either academic performance or English language proficiency attainment. This phenomenon further diminishes the self-confidence of the technological institute students, ultimately hindering their attempts to increase English language proficiency. For EFL students in a technological institute, self-confidence profoundly impacts their attainment of English language proficiency.
Objective: The present study was designed to investigate the glucose uptake of (antidiabetic activity) crude n-hexane,ethanol, methanol and aqueous leaf extracts of Cardiospermum Halicacabum. Methods: of Cardiospermum Halicacabumleaf extracts were subjected to inhibitory effect of glucose utilization using specific standard in vitro procedure. Results: results in four different leaf extracts revealed that, the methanol extract at a concentration of 50g plant extract/l was found to be more potent than other extracts with the lowest mean glucose concentration of 201±1.69 mg/dl at the end of 27 hrs. Conclusions: The present findings suggest that, the methanolic extract showed a significant inhibitory effect on glucose diffusion in vitro thus validating the traditional claim of the plant.
Synthesis and evaluation of 3-(p methoxybenzylidene) hydrazinoacetylamino-2-methyl-6- bromoquinazolin-4-(3H)-one and 3-(p-N, N-dimethylbenzylidenylamino)hydrazine-acetylamino-2-methyi-quina-zolin-4 (3H)-one for cardiovascular activity.
The analysis of two dimensional (2D) flow over NACA 0012 airfoil is validated with NASA Langley Research Center validation cases. The k-ω shear stress transport (SST) model is utilized to predict the flow accurately along with turbulence intensities 1% and 5% at velocity inlet and pressure outlet respectively. The computational domain is composed of 120000 structured cells. In order to enclose the boundary layer method the enhancement of the grid near the airfoil is taken care off. This validated simulation technique is further used to analyse aerodynamic characteristics of plain flapped NACA 0012 airfoil subjected to different flap angles and Mach number. The calculation of lift coefficients (CL), drag coefficients (CD) and CL/CD ratio at different operating conditions show that with increasing Mach number (M) CL increases but CD remains somewhat constant. Moreover, a rapid drastic decrease is observed for CL and an abrupt upsurge is observed for Cd with velocity approaching to the sonic velocity. In all cases range and endurance are decreased, as both values of CL/CD and √CL/CD are declined.
a. Research ProblemMiddle Class is solely capable to bind higher and lower classes into society as the organization of citizens. Our research, therefore, can be regarded as a sustainability study of society.b. Research ObjectivesThe first appearance of the term is typically associated with the origin of capitalist formation. The question is: what is the correspondence between the origin of a socio-economic phenomenon and its denomination? What is the role of Middle Class in the establishment / development of non-capitalist societies?c. Research MethodsThe methods include both empirical (collection and analysis of socioeconomic / historical data) and theoretical (socio-philosophical understanding of basic trends and forecasts).d. Key FindingsIn the post-Darwin science, any member of any society is neither a citizen nor a social actor but merely, a primate participant of struggle for survival. Middle Class, more then the other two classes, has to oppose this severe motivation (will to power or thirst for money) set to prevail over the civics. e. Implications of Findings to Theory and PracticeThe dogmas of “protestant capitalist ethics” agree with those of the struggle for survival. Perhaps, some amendments are desirable, in order to avoid “permanently intermittent” economic depressions?
Burial sites come into existence only after death. Death is therefore a unique phenomenon which we either appreciate or denigrate. The death of an individual may bring sorrow to some, great relief and joy to others and often captured or marked by a burial site. It is the inevitability of death and the African understanding that the dead are not dead and gone, that informs this exercise. This paper attempts to examine the meaning of death, the beauty of death, types of burial sites and the place or importance of the dead in the life of the living. It then concludes with the view that History is incomplete without the history of the dead dotted round our society.
