The present study was aimed to assess the proximate biochemical composition of body and faecal matter of Tor tor fed with feed combination containing containing 25% CP (T-1), 30% CP (T-2), 40% CP (T-3) and control group (T-4) containing 20% CP. The results of the proximate composition of the faeces of Tor tor revealed the higher CP% of 18.64±0.03 in fishes fed on feed containing 40±0.01 CP in the basal diet. The whole body carcass analysis revealed higher concentrations of accumulated CP% as high as 65.34±34 (T- 3), fed with 40% basal crude protein. The overall study revealed that inclusion of 40% CP in mahaseer diet could lead to better growth and feed efficiency.
With the aggravation of the market competition, customer loyalty has become one of the most decisive factors that will affect the long-term profits of an enterprise. Misunderstanding of enterprise management in China is probably to be wiped out in our comprehension of customer loyalty only if we can correctly grasp its connotation as well as take effective strategies. And then, we can increase the loyalty of our customers and keep our business invincible in the fierce market competition.
The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is the dominating end-to-end protocol on the internet today but still it faces congestion problems in some cases. To overcome congestion problems, several congestion control and avoiding mechanisms namely: Tahoe, Reno, Vegas, and Sack etc. all with different features and advantages but with maximal throughput as main objective, which are termed as the clones of TCP, have been incorporated into TCP/IP protocol for handling congestion efficiently in different network scenarios. However, one clone cannot be suitable for each case. So this paper has investigated the characteristics of the mentioned clones and calculated throughputs of them in simulated environment varying various performances metrics such as delay, buffer size, error rate, number of traffic and bandwidth for finding which one is the best for what scenario. The performance of these clones for varying network conditions and settings can effectively be evaluated using NS-2. In this work, by doing simulation in NS-2 environment the throughputs of some exiting TCP implementations are calculated considering various metrics and then the calculated throughputs are compared among one another. These comparisons show that which one is suitable in which cases.
Need of more sophisticated methods to handle color images becomes higher due to the usage, size and volume of images. To retrieve and index the color images there must be a proper and efficient indexing and classification method to reduce the processing time, false indexing and increase the efficiency of classification and grouping. We propose a new probabilistic model for the classification of color images using volumetric robust features which represents the color and intensity values of an region. The image has been split into number of images using box methods to generate integral image. The generated integral image is used to compute the interest point and the interest point represent the volumetric feature of an integral image. With the set of interest points computed for a source image, we compute the probability value of other set of interest points trained for each class to come up with the higher probability to identify the class of the input image. The proposed method has higher efficiency and evaluated with 2000 images as data set where 70 % has been used for training and 30% as test set.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the inter-sectoral linkages and the effects of each sector onother sectors in Jordanian economy by using Input and output tables for the years: 1987, 2000, and 2009.To facilitate the comparison process between sectors the researcher assembled and aggregated the each table to 15 sectors. This study applied Input and Output technique to determine the leader sector which has highest backward and forward linkages.
Ethanol tolerant saccharomyces species: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Saccharomyces ovarum, Saccharomyce fragilis and Saccharomyce lactis were successfully isolated from 168 hours aged palmwine on glucose yeast extract agar at 28. The basic physiological parameters (pH and ethanol content) of the aged palmwine were investigated. Fermentative assessment test was carried out to determined and estimate the fermentative abilities of the four reference saccharomyces isolates on 15% glucose medium. The maximum ethanol content produced by the isolate varies between 8.1 to 10.8%v/v. Saccharomyces cerevisiae produced the highest while S. lactis had the lowest (8.1%).The fermentative ability of all the isolates was enormously affected after been subjected to mutagenic effects of sub- minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of acridine orange for 48hours to determined the genetic stability of each of the isolate. S. lactis was found to have lost all its fermentative property while both S. ovarum, and S. Fragilis lost its fermentative ability by 80% compared to S. cerevisiae that was stabilized to the mutagenic effects of acridine orange. Hence S. cerevisiae was confirmed to be the most genetically and mutagenically stabilized isolate compared to other isolates.
Energ y economics is a specialized field used to make decisions on energy purchases, selection of competing energy generation technologies, and financing of energy technologies. This study carried out the economic analysis of combined packed bed energy storage and solar collector system byusingthe design and operational parameters such as concrete bed size, cylindrical cross sectional area, concrete size, air flow rate and void fraction. This was accomplished by investigating the effects of the above parameters on the total energy stored and the blower cost together with daily storage system cost per unit energy stored in the concrete bed for the winter climatic conditions of Trinidad. Spherical shaped concrete of three different sizes were used in this analysis over varying air flow rate. It was discovered that spherical shaped concrete of size 0.065m diameter has the highest blower cost of $TT37.83/day at 0.045m3/s due to low porosity and high pressure drop while concrete size 0.11m diameter has the lowest blower cost of $TT0.16/day at 0.0094m3/s.Also, spherical shaped concrete of size 0.065m diameter has the highest storage system daily cost of $TT38.83/day at 0.045m3/s while concrete size 0.11m diameter has the lowest daily cost of $TT1.16/day at 0.0094m3/s.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is recognized as a major health problem reflecting the growing elderly population and increasing numbers of patients with diabetes and hypertension. Medical researches confronted with mana-gement of complex medical problems that are unique to patie-nts with chronic renal impairment and renal dialysis where pati-ents suffer from hypocalcemia that subjected them to oste-oporosis. Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effect of two different intensities of aerobic exercises on bone mass density in patients on haemodialysis.
During the twentieth century, Cape Verdean diaspora authors challenged the longstanding Cape Verdean tradition of passively mourning what was lost. Previous poets and storytellers used saudade, or a sense of sentimental homesickness, to provide readers with an escape from daily life, particularly the physical and political hardships of living on the Cape Verde islands and the cultural dislocation of living elsewhere. A new group of authors, however, took a more militant approach in order to inspire ethnic pride, cultural and racial self-awareness, and political action. The results were activist literary movements, Claridade in the 1930s and Certeza in the 1940s, which led to the nation’s civil rights and independence movements of the 1960s and 1970s. This essay analyzes Cape Verdean and Cape Verdean-American authors who transformed saudade to be a rallying cry for the celebration of their heritage and the assertion of selfconfidence, unity, and action among their readers.
Surveys were conducted to determine the occurrence and distribution of tospovirus affecting bell pepper in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh during 2009 and 2010.Bell pepper crop was more affected especially in Kandaghat (65%), Pandah (65%), Naganji (60%), and Kumarhatti (35%).Infected bell pepper samples were collected from different localities in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The symptoms observed under field conditions include plant stunting, rosetted leaves and ringspots. On leaves, concentric rings were observed. The bell pepper fruits produced on infected plants were misshapen with browning and showing nail head symptoms.Based on the reaction on certain indicator plants belonging to familiesAmaranthaceae, Asteraceae, Chenopodiaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Compositae, Malvaceae and Solanaceae as well as serological relationship, isolates from Pandha and Naganji vegetable farm were identified to be a tospovirus. Attempts were made to characterize the virus at biological and serological levels so as to identify whether the tospovirusis a distinct virus species or a strain of TSWV serogroup I, II, III.
