The diversity and applicability of data mining are increasing day to day so need to extract hidden patterns from massive data. The paper states the problem of attribute bias. Decision tree technique based on information of attribute is biased toward multi value attributes which have more but insignificant information content. Attributes that have additional values can be lessimportant for various applications of decision tree. Problem affects the accuracy of ID3 Classifier and generate unclassified region. The performance of ID3 classification and cascaded model of RBF network for ID3 classification is presented here. The performance of hybrid technique ID3 with CRBF for classification is proposed. As shown through the experimental results ID3classifier with CRBF accuracy is higher than ID3 classifier.
Organo-phosphorus compounds (OPC) are among the most used poisons for suicide in India, and associated toxic syndromes are well described. We report a young man who presented to us with alleged consumption of chlorpyrifos, a crystalline organophosphate insecticide. During hospitalization he developed acute organo-phosphorus toxicity (type I) and intermediate syndrome (type II), both situations were managed by assisted ventilation and supportive care. After 6 weeks of discharge he reported with features of delayed poly neuropathy (type III). It is rare for these patients to follow up at the same centre to identify and manage these toxicities. Often the type III toxicity is misdiagnosed and over investigated for other causes of neuropathy. Though OPC poisoning is commonly encountered in practice, only few reports have described all toxicities to occur in the same patient.
Organizational efficiency is still important to planning because it enables plans that are possible to achieve profitability. Efficiency measure of how well or how productively resources are used to achieve a goal. Banking sector is important factor for economic development. The study is also aimed at finding the effect of changes in efficiency levels on profitability of banking in Sri Lanka. The study covered banking sector in Sri Lanka over a period of past 5 years from 2008 to 2012. Correlation and regression analysis were used in the analysis and findings suggest that there is a significant relationship exists between efficiency and profitability. However, the findings of this paper are based on a study conducted on the banking sector in Sri Lanka. Results of this study found that the Sales to Total Asset (SA/TA) is significantly correlated with Operating Profit Margin (OPM) and Return on Equity (ROE). At the same time SA/TA and Operating Expenses to Total Assets (OPE/TA) and Loan to Total Assets (LO/TA) are significantly correlated with Net profit Margin (NPM).
In [4], the definition of product summability method (𝑫𝑫,𝒌𝒌)(𝑪𝑪,𝒍𝒍) for functions was given and some of its properties were investigated. In [2], (𝑫𝑫,𝒌𝒌)(𝑪𝑪,𝜶𝜶,𝜷𝜷) (k > 0, α > 0, β > −1) summability for functions are defined and some of its properties were investigated. In [1], the Ces𝒂𝒂̇ro means and Ces𝒂𝒂̇ro summability were discussed for sequences. In this paper, we study some results of Ces𝒂𝒂̇ro mean of product summability (𝑫𝑫,𝒌𝒌)(𝑪𝑪,𝜶𝜶,𝜷𝜷) (k > 0, α > 0, β > −1) of partial differential equations of sequences.
Hybrid electric vehicles represent a promising future direction for the transportation sector in terms of decreasing the reliance on fossil fuels while simultaneously decreasing emissions. Energy used for driving is fully or partially shifted to electricity leading to lower emission rates. In this regard, the use of a power generator and motor as the primary power source for an automobile is very attractive. This thesis develops model of a series hybrid vehicle with a power generator as its Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Simulation using the model helps to provide an understanding of the interaction and flow of power. Moreover, electrical power sharing between the APU and the Electrical Storage System (ESS) is shown. Conclusion is also discussed.
Social networking sites like Facebook are not just an element of passing time but a platform for learning as well. The goal of this paper is to show the effectiveness of a Facebook application named “Wishdom” to teach English language based on cloud platform. This application tries to introduce English language in an authentic and communicative manner to the students, where they have to assume different roles (i.e. avatar) to achieve a particular goal. For that purpose they communicate with the other avatar and participate in several quizzes. This study shows the performance of a group of students who played “Wishdom” game and take a quiz as a part of their assessment. Their performance has been presented to show their success rate in learning English. The performance of the application is also measured based on Facebook Graph API. In addition, platform as a service (PaaS) of cloud computing from Heroku has been integrated to host the application and its compatibility is checked in this study.
In dynamic assessment which emphasizes the process rather than product learners are provided with corrective feedback in categorized levels. On the other hand, Blog is an on-line and user-value driven technology widely used in language learning. This study was an attempt to investigate the effect of the Web 2.0 on writing ability of Iranian EFL learners through the process of dynamic assessment. To do so, twenty low advanced EFL learners were randomly selected to take part in an eight-session class in advanced writing. The participants were assigned into two control and experimental groups consisting of ten members. Both groups were exposed to dynamic assessment however they differed in that the dynamic assessment of the experimental group was applied online through using a blog and the dynamic assessment of the control group was based on traditional paper-and-pencil method. The quantitative data were analyzed through using a paired t-test and the answers to open-ended questions extracted from distributed questionnaires among the experimental group were analyzed qualitatively. The results indicated that the use of blogs not only improved the writing ability of the learners but also facilitated the procedure of their writing assessment.
In this study, the inhibitor effect of ampicillin sodium salt on carbon steel corrosion in 1M of HCl solution was investigated. The experiment was carried in HCl solution different temperature (303,313, and 323) K and by used different inhibitor concentration, the weight loss and polarization curve investigation were done. The activation energy, heat od adsorption and thermodynamic parameters of inhibition effect of Ampicillin sodium salt under investigation on the corrosion process have been calculated at different temperature. It was found the effect of inhibitor was decrease with increasing temperature and Ampicillin sodium salt as a mixed inhibitor for the corrosion of carbon steel. The inhibition efficiency of Ampicillin sodium salt increases-almost-with temperature and the activation energy decreases in presence of the inhibitor. The inhibitor efficiency increased by increasing inhibitor concentration.
Water of Tulashi tank is utilized for pisciculture, irrigation and domestic purposes. It is an urgent need to assess the water quality. The Physico-chemical parameters of Tulashi tank were studied during January to December, 2011. The results discovered that there was a significant seasonal variation in some physico-chemical parameters. Water temperature ranges from 22.16 to 28.64°C, turbidity 0.68 to 2.95 NTU. Transparency 32.45 to 44.56 cm. The pH 7.10 to 8.85, DO 6.48 to 8.52 mg/l, CO2 1.89 to 5.98 mg/l, Alkalinity 126.42 to 162.42 mg/l, Total Hardness 82.46 to 156.26 mg/l. The paper presents a miniaturized design of helical antenna loaded inside an impedance matching L-wall shaped cavity to achieve multi-frequency bands in the range of 5-15 GHz. A detail analysis of helix orientation inside the designed cavity is carried out. The cavity and helix arrangement is made reconfigurable by placing the helix and RF feed in such a way that it can thus be rotated manually at various angles with respect to the cavity walls. A comparative analysis of antenna gain and bandwidth is also reported. The antenna has a peak gain of 11.28dB and highest bandwidth of 2.68GHz. The maximum power handling capacity of the design is found to be 40.67MW. Computer Simulation Tool is used in the modeling of antenna. The antenna being conformal in design finds its application in aerospace, military and personal wireless communication.
