Trends in virtualization are always changing. As the technology matures and advances are made, there are more options open to administrators and more cost saving virtualization projects that can be implemented. The websites and articles listed in the reference section, give you some idea of the capability using the VMWare product, which is simply one of several virtualization options. Any company currently using physical servers can benefit from the cost savings and management simplification of a virtualized server environment. Virtualization allows for the maximizing of hardware through the sharing of resources. A virtualized environment is also easier to backup and restore for disaster recovery purposes. ESXi is a free product, and virtualization can often be achieved on existing hardware. The purpose of this review is to look at virtualization from the perspective of scholarly writers, but also understand how to implement a virtual environment that addresses the high cost of physical servers and rack space and can be implemented with very few tem members. This also addresses the ability of virtual environments to minimize downtime and simplify management. As for the need, all companies have a need to reduce costs and increase efficiency, and this type of project has a high ROI in both areas. This project will include research into the latest trends in virtualization. This has a direct application to business, strategic planning, and IT in general since this technology is rapidly permeating through the environments of IT departments and businesses around the world. Much scholarly work has also been done into the concept of virtualization, the impact on business in terms of ROI, disaster recovery, and reduced administration as well as the future of the technology in general.
Successful implementation of Knowledge Management System (KMS) has been observed in many organization, where they use the system with real interest and enthusiasm. Despite of the fact, some organizations has failed to implement the KM initiatives to achieve its adequate advantages due to the lack of pertinent information and shortage of measurement that is used in KMS. The obstacles that hurdle the KMS implementation are some critical factors that must be taken into high precedence during KMS implementation. The critical factors that hindrance the KMS implementation can lead the organization to a poor KMS or fail its implementation. The main focus of this paper is to explore and investigate the critical success factors of KMS and analyze these factors for the success of its implementation. In this paper, we discuss the most prominent critical success factors of knowledge management system in the literature and compare these factors from different sources and their importance for the organization success.
The concept of a Non-Status member of an indigenous people refers to a person who is Indigenous but does not have the status as an indigenous person. The indigenous status has often been lost after the adaptation of complicated legal rules resulting to a situation that is not equivalent with individuals’ self-identification with an indigenous people. This article introduces the concept of Non-Status Sámi in the Finnish situation where some of the Sámi are excluded from the official definition of indigenous. This was a narrative study aiming at producing subjective knowledge about Sámi identity and experiences of it. Non-Status Sámi (N=10) were interviewed. The study took place in Finland which is one of the four countries inhabited by the Sámi. The study showed that the official definition of an indigenous people matters for the identity of an individual person. The purpose of this study was to increase information about the phenomenon and tear down stereotypes and myths about Sáminess.
This paper presents the design of a parabolic-trough solar-collector system for water desalination in Gaza, Collector-aperture and rim-angle optimization together with the receiverdiameter selection are presented. A comparison of concentrating collectors against conventional flat-plate collectors is presented. It is shown that for large scale water production the parabolictrough collectors are more efficient than the flat plate ones. The analysis considers visible radiation transfer, IR radiation exchange, conductive and convective losses and energy transferred to a fluid flowing through the collector tube. The collector may have a tilted northsouth axis, an east-west axis or it may fully track the sun and geometric parameters associated with tracking the sun are considered.
Waste tire recycling has become a bigger environmental problem. Despite regulations waste tires are stockpiled and often are breeding ground for west Nile virus and mosquitoes that cause pandemic. A number of times waste tires are incinerated or pyrolysis. Reclamation of value in the rubber portion of the waste tires may be more profitable and more environmentally benign compared with incineration and fuel use methods. Devulcanization and depolymerization reactions can lead to recovery of polybutadiene and butadiene monomer. Competing parallel reactions after the devulcanization step is studied in more detail. Dynamics of the general Denbigh scheme of reactions in a CSTR is studied. The composition of the species involved is obtained as a function of time from model solutions. A general state space form is proposed for simultaneous series-parallel reactions. Types of instability that may arise depends on the eigenvalues of the system. The Eigenvalues of the sparse matrix indicate that the system is of the integrating type. Solutions can be obtained from the eigenvalues for 7 species. Information from the model solution can be used to optimize the yield of rubber during reclamation of rubber from waste tires.
This article treats about the engagement of Brazil with Africa in the new century, which reflects a time in which there was an increase in presence of Brazil in the continent motivated by, not only changes in the conditions of stability in Africa, but also by Brazilian diplomatic investments through African countries and by also favorable internal Brazilian economic conditions, which enabled economic growth and international proactivity. On the Africa side, the new international integration divides in the NEPAD’s autonomist mood and a “new scramble for Africa” by the countries interested in investing in the continent. On the Brazil side, Lula government foreign policy pursuit revert the distance settled during the 1990’s, by improving not only incentives to the Brazilian companies but also bilateral cooperation, commerce and high level meetings.
Intelligence, emotional, and spiritual quotients (IESQ) has been predicted to escalate with the increase of personal quality of corporate managers. In line with the enhancement of personal quality, it has been estimated that internal locus of control would also amplify. This study examined the drivers of personal quality of corporate managers based on the examination of intelligence, emotional, and spiritual quotients (IESQ) and mediated by internal locus of control. Data were collected from 237 stated owner enterprises managers via questionnaires. The analysis produced structural models of personal quality predicted by IESQ and mediated by internal LOC. It shows that hypothesized model created three significant positive direct (IESQ) and indirect (internal LOC) impacts of predictors to personal quality of managers. For mediating effect of internal LOC on each hypothesized path, this study found partial mediating effects of internal LOC. The structural model achieved the highest SMC (R2), explaining 65.6% of internal locus of control and 76.2% variance of the personal quality of managers. This study confirmed a significant positive direct relationship between the harmonies of IESQ to personal quality. This study found most of managers have a good standard of EQ and SQ rather than IQ. In this case, the application of EQ in a workplace depended on the person, whether he or she could place him or herself in gathering with others. Spiritual quotient seemed placed highest portion when mediated with locus of control. As we know that internal LOC is a strong feeling that pushes someone to do something correctly. By the data gathered, it shows that most of managers are Moslem. As a good Moslem, most managers practice religion tightly, they pray, spells the good name of God (Dzikir) which is thought by the Quran. A spiritually managers will apply good attitudes and behaviors in organization to enhance their personal quality in the organization and the society surrounds. The
At the Collaborating Center of the WHO MONICA project in Novi Sad (Capital of Autonomic Province of Vojvodina, Serbia), the research results of Stroke epidemiology during favorable circumstances in our social community show a decrease of the incidence and mortality from stroke, and indicate that prophylactic measures performed during the first. Ten years were successful at completing of their mission. In the period 1983 – 1992 morbidity and mortality from stroke dropped by about 20%. The main activities dealt with recording the incidence and mortality of stroke and analysis of population samples during intervention program. The results of Stroke epidemiology since 1993 and later show that with the war in the neighboring countries decrease of general life standard of population. Large social, medical and economic sanctions imposed by United Nations, the previous favorable results, this beneficial trend have reversed and rates have increased continually. All results are undergoing the final analyses and tests of hypotheses, and they are published in the most reputable world medical journals. Unfortunately, the main risk factors in population age 20 years and over in the first decade of XXI century in Autonomic Province of Vojvodina are still physical inactivity, hypertension, smoking, overweight, and obesity, the same that were at the beginning of the WHO MONICA program, at the end of XX century in Novi Sad
This paper offers a new approach to process capability measurement based on techniques for estimating the fraction nonconforming in the tails of the observed process distribution. The methodology proposed can provide significantly more accurate results and applicability to a much larger class of process distributions than the standard approaches of calculating capability indices based on making parametric assumptions or using standard curve fitting techniques. The tail probability estimation approach to capability analysis can significantly enhance the practitioners understanding of the processes they are attempting to develop and/or control because it provides a more robust and accurate measure of capability. This clearer insight into process performance becomes increasingly important as the allowable fraction nonconforming levels decline.
