The purpose of this article is to present the importance of the inclusion of the perspective of social sciences learning into the learning emanating from the training of the functional units and the three levels of the hierarchy in learning organizations in order for such organizations to acquire holistic learning that will satisfy both their internal and external environmental learning needs. Learning organizations are characterized by total employee involvement in a process of collaboratively conducted, collectively accountable change directed towards shared values or principles. The social sciences is the study dedicated to the social activities of individuals and groups. The branches of the social sciences included in this article are cultural anthropology, economics, history, communication, psychology, political sciences, geography, law, and sociology.
The relationship between Public Administration and National Development has lost its vigour, dynamism and interest because of criticisms that has trailed the role of the public bureaucracy in rural development in Nigeria. This is exasperated by the inadequacies of Public Bureaucracy in engendering Rural Development, justified by the enormous developmental policies and programmes that are deliberately rural-based in Nigeria yet these rural areas are still grossly unattractive to live in. This concern is insufferably disheartening because public bureaucracy exists in any society for the convenience of effective and efficient service delivery. The great and dire need for development especially in the rural areas amidst abundant human and material resources in Nigeria has occasioned the great tendency to blame politicians for the poverty, underdevelopment, and colossal leadership tragedy that best describes the contemporary Nigerian society. This is because from military dictatorship to ‘democratic governments’ all have conspired to reduce governance to the manipulation of public office to deceive and loot public funds for personal aggrandisement. But since these governments come and go, leaving the bureaucracy behind, who initiates, formulates and execute/implement these developmental policies, there seems no need to cast aspersion on the political office holders but the bureaucrats. This is why the bureaucracy cannot escape the rot that have characterised every aspect of Public Sector in Nigeria, for without the public sectors, development at all levels becomes a travesty. Public sector refers to all the organisations that exist as part of government machinery for implementing policy decisions of the government and delivering services that are valuable to citizens. Suleiman (2009) identified the civil service and public bureaucracy as the components of public sector in Nigeria, but for the purpose of this paper, both of them are regarded as public bureaucracy. Full network level privacy has often been categorized into four sub-categories: Identity, Route,Location and Data privacy. Achieving full network level privacy is a challenging problem due to the conditionsimposed by the sensor nodes (e.g., energy, memory and computation power), sensor networks (e.g., mobilityand topology) and QoS issues (e.g., packet reach-ability and timeliness). This proposed paper consists of twoalgorithms IRL algorithm and data privacy mechanism thataddresses this problem. The proposed systemprovides additional trustworthiness, less computation power, less storage space and more reliability. Also, weproved that our proposed solutions provide protection against various privacy disclosure attacks, such aseavesdropping and hop-by-hop trace back attacks.
The ethanolic extract of Sphaeranthus amaranthoides at an oral dosage 500mg/kg body weight exhibited a significant protection against D-galactosamine induced liver damage. Sphaeranthus amaranthoides showed hepatoprotective activity by reducing a D-galactosamine induced alteration in biochemical changes, that was evident by examination of the levels of hepatic marker enzymes. The plant extract may interfere with free radical formation or it may exert antioxidant activity which may result in hepatoprotective action.
This survey is one of the first to take an integrated approach, incorporating all aspects of smallholder family farming enterprises, rather than discrete tasks or farming activities separately. The sample of 197 households was stratified into four wealth categories and differences in needs between the categories are revealed. Interventions to address poverty, based on the findings of the survey, were identified, including, as the prime need, increasing agricultural productivity through the use of better hoes.
The aim of the present paper is to obtain two summation formulae associated to Hypergeometric function. The results derived in this paper are of general character and are believed to be new.
The goal of this study of threshold acceptance algorithm (TA), simulated annealing algorithm (SA) and genetic algorithm (GA) is to determine strength of Genetic Algorithm over other algorithm. It gives a clear idea of how genetic algorithm works. It gives the idea of various sub methods used in genetic algorithm to improve the results and outcome. Basically genetic algorithm and all traditional heuristic methods are used for optimization. Optimization problems are class NP complete problems. Genetic algorithm can be viewed as an optimization technique which exploits random search within a defined search space to solve a problem by some intelligence ideas of nature. In this work we have done Comparative analysis of Threshold Acceptance Algorithm, Simulated Annealing Algorithm and Genetic Algorithm by considering different test functions and its constraints to minimize the test functions.
This study is conducted to analyze the pharmaceutical sector and its affiliated factors that affects it performance / profitability. We have chosen these factors i.e. Paid up capital, financial charges, stock dividend, sales (mill), cash dividend, taxation, PBT, tax, no of shares etc. from 2001 to 2010. For our analysis we use regression analysis and generate our results. Profit of the pharmaceutical industry depends upon the sales, investment, cash etc. Also, Pakistan pharmaceutical industry do not have so much these above particulars as compare to the multinational pharmaceutical companies, due to which the growth factor reduces a lot. So, overcome these multinational and make a good share in the market the policies of government should be according to the favor of this industry and the industry should also take prominent steps for its growth.
This project report focuses on the relevance of electrical resistivity method in ground water investigations; past research works on the use of this method are mentioned. Geology and hydrogeology of the study area are investigated, an adapted version of the national verification form for provision of potable water, schematic of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), maps of the drainage pattern, hydro geology, geology of the study area and other relevant maps are presented. ABEM terameter 300c and other geophysical equipments are employed in measuring resistivity readings over a region of 900 000m2 within the university of Abuja permanent site. This region is characterised by rock outcrops of various sizes, predominantly granites and quartz. Wener array is employed in this survey; it is well established from past research work (Leoflinch, 2001) that depth of fractured rock was 24.5m-VES 1. Current dipoles separation must be three times this depth i.e. 75m; hence electrode separation of 25m is adopted. Ten parallel traverses, each of length 1000m, separated from each other by 100m are marked out, over which readings are taken at intervals of 25m. From field data, apparent resistivity maps are drawn by employing 3d field software; low resistivity zones of well fractured rocks—which delineated the productive from the unproductive zones—are observed as potential harbours for ground water.
Facebook represents an extremely efficient medium for helping people communicate more efficiently with their friends, family and coworkers. Although the emergence of Facebook appears to have significant potential for SME marketing, it is not clear if mere personal use of Facebook by SEM owners leads to the commercial use of Facebook by these same individuals. The potential use of Facebook for SME marketing indicates that Facebook.com must understand the important user characteristics that will influence SME owners to adopt this innovative medium for marketing purposes. An empirical study was conducted to investigate the extent to which domain-specific innovativeness explains the conditions under which SME owners move from personal users of Facebook to adoption of Facebook for their own business. A conceptual model is developed from the literature. The model was tested using survey data from 283 SME owners in Hong Kong. The results of this study, regardless of the gender, support the viewpoint that there are significant positive influences of personal Facebook use and domain-specific innovativeness on adoption of Facebook in business. The results also support the moderating effect of domain-specific innovativeness on the relationship between personal Facebook use and adoption of Facebook in business.
