A new service robot designed for cleaning tasks in home environments is introduced. System has three subsystems: electrical, software and mechanical of which microcontroller, sensors (opponent and light) and motor are the electrical and mechanical subsystems respectively and the software subsystem is the brain of the robot. The cleaning robot uses a microcontroller to detect obstacles and manipulates its direction as per the inputs . It is programmed to accept inputs to sense obstacles around it and control the robot to avoid any collisions. In case of an obstacle, or a potential collision, the microcontroller controls the wheels of the robot by a motor driver to avoid collision. The vacuum cleaner at the bottom of the robot performs the cleaning process.
When a conductor is using in an over head line it has to face the weather surrounding of it .In any aluminium conductor like ACSR or for other conductors the whole conductor is not uniform and that why its current carrying capacity is not only dependent upon ambient temperature but also depends upon wind flow, solar radiation, skin effect, proximity effect etc. Resistance depends upon temperature of conductor and the temperature is affected by those effects. If one of those effects is changed than that impact upon total current carrying capacity of the conductor.
Consumers of mobile telephone services are faced with the task of choosing from among different service providers and services. This choice making is complex and it involves making some tradeoffs among the attributes of the various services before arriving at the services most desirable to them. This study analyzed the process by which Lagos state subscribers of mobile telephone services select their desired services among some available telephone services in the market to meet their personal or corporate needs. Conjoint analysis was applied for analyzing the process which involved a trade-offs of several conflicting attributes of these telephone services by the subscribers before arriving at their choices. The respondents divided into two groups which are the private/personal calling plan (PPP) and the business/commercial calling plan (BCP). For each of the two calling plans twelve mobile telephone services attributes each with different levels were involved. The results show that for both calling plans, the subscribers have preference for MTN, followed by Zain and then Glo among the calling plan providers. They also show preference for the following service attributes, unlimited anytime minutes, unlimited free night calls, free weekend calls, international geographical coverage, complete control over credit usage and per second billings. Geographical coverage, control over credit usage and weekend minutes were three most important service attributes to them.
Workplace stress is a frequent setback facing most of the cases by the managers at all levels in all types of organization. Although stress is inherent in life and human workplace stress is not confined to the workplace, but it is frequently brought home as well increasingly, employers, trade unions, and health and safety representatives at work are finding guidance on the nature and causes of the problem and on the organizational requirements relating to its prevention and control. A number of factors are considered here , for example, the multidimensionality of the nature of workplace stress, the definition of stress, the direct relationship between stress and behavior, coping with stress and the diversified stress management strategies taken by the management of different organization. In labor oriented shrimp processing factories the promptness of stress very common and in the light of those incidents the stress handling strategies are taken accordingly.
Economists consider the banking system the heart of a country’s economy because it pumps the money through the economy thus driving production, exchange and its growth. Competition in banking industry has become acute since the late 1980s liberalisation of the sector; it was intensified after 2005 consolidation, the keenest aspect of the competition is the competition for deposits. Nigerian banks have deployed an array of tools to position themselves for this battle for deposits, ranging from glitzy branding and marketing campaigns to the deployment of smart marketing staff. These banks also attract customers with the deployment of e-banking solutions and the construction of an ever-increasing number of branches. This work set out to find out the factors that affect the decision by individuals to open bank accounts in a particular bank, with a view to using statistical tools to evaluate the relative importance of each factor that attracts customers to a particular bank, determine the strongest factor, and also depict some types of products/services banks should include in their array. The main analysis was done with the use (aid) of SPSS’s version of full profile conjoint analysis, where the utilities of the profile cards were analysed. However it was deduced that security of funds was the most considered factor, followed by customer relations, but the least considered was interest rates. A small descriptive analysis was done, and the result confirms what we deduced from conjoint analysis. Banks are advised to include savings plus into their array, employ smart staff and train them to be efficient and friendly, provide Automated Teller Machine ATM in strategic locations, and ensure branding right product for the right set of people or organisations.
This study examines the nature of the discourse of advertising. The focus is on the consumer advertising, which is directed towards the promotion of some product or service to the general public. The study, however, is not meant to exhaust all the aspects of this particular discourse, or present an answer to all the problems it poses. Rather, it aims at uncovering the basic elements of the most pervasive, influential and inescapable discourse of the 21st century; the advertising text. It focuses on the interaction of language, image and layout, and examines advertising persuasive strategies. In doing so, it draws on various linguistic (particularly pragmatic, psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic) theories. In addition this study provides analyses of some ads, using different ways of interpretations; and ends with a discussion on the interrelationship between culture (schemes) and advertising discourse. In this connection, instances from the Egyptian media, and their analyses are provided, with a view to clarifying some rhetorical categories in Arabic Advertising, and showing that texts construct meaning through interaction with other types of discourse, and inseparable from the culture of the advertising text.
In this paper, we generalized seven Ramanujan’s identities in terms of q-products and continued fractions, using properties of Jacobi’s triple product identities. Findings are new and not available in the literature of special functions.
Obesity, a multifactorial, metabolic disorder, involves complex interaction between genetic and environmental factors. With an alarming increase in the prevalence of obesity worldwide, it has become a major health care burden not just in terms of the increased risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular morbidity, cholelithiasis, arthiritis and certain malignancies, but also in the economic costs to healthcare providers. The great similarity and homology between the genomes of rodents and humans make these animal models an important tool in unraveling the mechanisms involved in the etiology, prevention and treatment of obesity. This review summarizes the various approaches for the induction of obesity in the rodent models via genetic manipulation, hypercaloric diets and neuroendocrine perturbations.
In this paper , we define some general classes of analytic functions by subordination . Our new results extend and improve a lot of known results (see [6]).
