The study examined the determinants of land management practices among crop farmers in South-Western Nigeria. A total of 360 respondents were selected from the three agroecological zones of the State typical of some Nigeria South-Western States. Well-structured questionnaires with few open-ended questions were administered out of which 301 were found to be very useful for the study. Analysis of data was done using descriptive statistics and probit models were employed as the inferential statistics. The result showed that 90 percent of the farmers are male and married while 85.5 percent of their household members are literate. About 40 percent of the farmers are in their active age. The male education at secondary and tertiary level has significant impact on land management practices contrary to female education. Also the livelihood strategy of the household head has limited impact on most land management practices. Investment on land encourages fallowing and incorporation of crop residues while assess to credit favors non-farm rather than farm activities.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between cognitive style and managerial effectiveness among different managerial levels of various public and private sector bank’s of National Capital Region (Delhi) and Haryana state of India. Datawas collected by using Cognitive Style test for Field-dependence and Fieldindependence developed by Witkin (1959) and Index of Managerial Effectiveness test devised by Walter W. Hudson(1993). A sample of 300 bank managers of senior, middle and junior level positions from three public and three private sector banks of National Capital Region (Delhi) and Haryana state of Indiawas taken for the study."Both the public and private sector bank managers exhibit higher tendency of field-dependence among the senior managers in comparison to the middle level managers who have relatively greater inclination towards field-independence. Junior level managers of both the public and private sector banks are the highly inclined towards field-independence tendency in comparison to middle and senior level managers. As F-ratio was found significant so Duncan’s multiple comparison of means test was used to examine significant differences among cognitive style means of different groups. The comparisons were made at 0.05 level of significance. The results of Duncan’s multiple comparison of cognitive style means of public bank managers revealed that junior managers and middle level managers differ significantly in their means from senior managers but junior managers did not differ significantly from middle level managers. In case of private sector managers the entire three groups differ significantly in their cognitive style means. Both the public and private sector bank managers exhibit poor tendency of managerial effectiveness among the senior managers in comparison to the middle level managers who have relatively higher degree of effectiveness in management in comparison to senior managers. Junior level managers of both the publ
Purpose: This research evaluates the digital watermarking technology further for hide/retrieved data into the BMP file by manipulating the contents their pixel value using least significant bits (LSB) approach. Methodology: Various experiments have been applied on the pixel value of the BMP file to hide/store the maximum data. With a condition the size and the quality of the BMP file will not change. The trail and error methods have been used or applied to check the various sizes with various qualities. Findings: The study finds that the any digital data can be hiding into the BMP file by manipulating the contents of the Red Green Blue (RGB) value by applying least significant approach. Originality/Value: Due to the growing usage of multimedia content on the internet, serious issues have emerged. Counterfeiting, forgery fraud and pirating of this content are rising. The research is a mechanism which can help resolve the ownership issues for digital data.
In this paper we discuss some of the architectural principles which are useful to support the continuous media applications in a microkernel environment. In particular, we discuss i) the principle of upcall-driven application structuring whereby communications events are system rather than application initiated, ii) the principle of split-level system structuring whereby, key system .functions are carried out co-operatively between kernel and user level components and iii) the principle of decoupling of control transfer and data transfer. Under these general headings a number of particular mechanisms and techniques are discussed.
Cars and vehicles have been incorporated into culture as one of the most resourceful, easiest and accessible means of transportation available. But besides being a suitable and common means, it is equally an incredibly dangerous mode of transport. Thousands of people die in vehicle accidents each year, whether it is accident with another vehicle or with a motionless object. A method of early accident exposure and evasion can control several accidents that may be associated to factors such as loss of control, careless driving, tired/intoxicated drivers, and not paying concentration to the road. As the current market does not present a normal safety feature in any car, the use of sensory tools to sense potentially hazardous objects a definite distance away and either slows the car down or shove to a safer path has not been released. In this research paper a new technique is introduced for safety against accidents. Eight ultrasonic sensors are used to sense different types of objects. By implementing a possible improvement in safety/sanctuary systems in vehicles, the vehicle and sensor would be able to operate normally until the sensor detects possible risk. In our project, the sensor does not give output or signal until the car comes within ~75 feet of an object, at which timer sends information of hurdle to driver. The sensor only indicates the presence of an object; it is up to the user or driver to tackle the hurdle.
This study aims to propose a normative model to determine the potential of cultural tourism in the municipalities that comprise the region 6 of the State of Jalisco, territorially delimited in the South of Jalisco. Firstly, it is conducted an anlaysis to determine the demand for cultural tourism to determine the cultural tourist profile under the assumptions that tourists especially motivated by culture, tend to travel longer distances than most tourists. It discusses the motivations and satisfactions of cultural tourists to establish the potential market in accordance with the characteristics of the target market in the Southern region of Jalisco. Any operation of cultural tourism companies should make the strategic diagnosis, so that explains the use of SWOT analysis as a tool for strategic planning of cultural tourism enterprises. Finally, we propose the development strategies of cultural tourism in this region of Southern Jalisco.

A conflict in scientific entrepreneurship has arisen over the propriety of scientific advancements, business governance, and the resulting commercializationof scientificinnovations. Some research indicates that the commercialization activities display asymmetric convergence because industry appears to have a more influential role in the exploitation of these innovations. Yet, the research does not differentiate the types of commercialization activities and assumes that all forays into scientific entrepreneurship are comparable. This research aims to explore these contentions and differentiate two groups of scientific entrepreneurs based on their lived experience. This research indicates that, while the essence of the experience is the same, these groups of scientific entrepreneurs have different experiences based on their roles and the conflicts related thereto, witness varying control issues over the fate and delivery of their innovation due to the influences of investor relations, and exhibit differing visions for the future based on their experience. This research provides evidence and advances the theory that scientific entrepreneurs need to be segregated by the influence of their investor relationships because of the differences these relationships impose on their lived experience.
