Every year the football industry moves, worldwide, a value between $ 400 billion and $ 1 trillion. This denotes the high economic potential of the football market. This is a complex market because teams need to use cooperation strategies with their rivals, to optimize the production of football. The objective of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the performance of clubs in the Brazilian championship, both in sports, as in the financial domain. It is a quantitative study of descriptive and explanatory nature with secondary database. One pooled logit was used to estimate the probability of sports and financial success. The results showed that the participation of clubs in international competitions increases the odds of sporting and financial success; the permanence of players between seasons also increases the chances of success.
