Oceans Apart discusses the story of a child countering the need of attachment with his parental caregivers. Kiahna and Connor had an illegal affair and the evident birth of a child did not hamper the child to create healthy loving attachment patterns. However it did create the urgency to seek his biological father after his mother’s death. This paper presents the story of Max’s internal working model in close connection to the lovely, intricate-interconnected motherly relationship.
The paper studies the inter-relationship between advertisement expenditure, sales and profit. Taking ten-year data (2005-06 to 2014-15) of twenty manufacturing companies indexed in NSE’s NIFTY, the study applied various models including descriptive study, correlation and regression. The tools used (Regression and Correlation) clearly show that there is a significant relationship between advertisement expenditure, sales and profit. The study concludes that there is a one-sided relationship between advertisements, sales and profit wherein advertisement expenditure positively impacts the sales and profit of the business in case of Indian manufacturing companies.
The broad objectives of this study were to investigate the impact of water harvesting techniques on trees growth and soil moisture content. Field experiments were conducted for one rainy season (2010) around west Omdurman, Jebel Aulia Locality in Khartoum New International Air Port, 40 km south of Khartoum city and 25 km west of the White Nile River in south west direction. The study site lies in the semi - desert region. The experimental design followed was the randomized block design. The water harvesting techniques used were strips, semi-circles, pits and control. The tree species grown were Acaia tortilis subsp raddiana, Acacia senegal and Zizphus spina- christi. The three tree species were planted by using seedlings. The shoot length, number of leaves and diameter of stem of seedlings of the three tree species were measured every three weeks after transplanting, during the rainy seasons. Soil moisture content was measured three times during the rainy seasons (beginning, middle and end).the soil samples taken from three different depths: 0-30cm, 30-60cm and 60-90cm.
The number of mutual funds that were professionally managed is on the rise. Consequently, the importance of evaluating the performance of mutual funds has also increased. Investors prefer investing in such stocks that have performed better compared to other alternatives since investors always like to choose fund managers on a comparative basis. This study has endeavoured to address this issue by measuring the performance of mutual funds managed by ICB (Investment Corporation of Bangladesh) through Treynor Index, Sharpe Index, Jensen Alpha, and Fama Decomposition. This study has found that the performance of ICB mutual funds is satisfactory in the context of mutual funds sector of Bangladesh. However, there remain several shortcomings in managing the portfolios by the portfolio managers of ICB. Much of the underperformance of ICB mutual funds is attributable to the bureaucratic systems and structural rigidity of ICB.
This paper examines the implication of wet-rice farming or irrigated agriculture on the physical environment and human health. Environmental problems seem to have increased in the recent past posing a major threat to irrigation development. Several environmental problems created by irrigation development in Mwea Irrigation Settlement Scheme (MIS) could be attributed to improper understanding of the complex processes involved in the irrigation system. The main objective of this study was to examine cases and causes of some environmental and health problems and planning related issues in MIS. An environmental planning and management methodology is suggested which will attempt to minimize or at least mitigate against the environmental and health problems.

The success and the failure of any business depend upon the behavior of customers in a specific market. Hence the centre of all marketing activities is the customer. It is always difficult to understand and to predict consumers’ behavior in urban and rural areas (Kashyap, Pardeep & Siddhartha). India is a highly populated country. Its population is approximately 15% of the whole world. It has a population about 1.21 billion (census 2011). About 68.84% of total population live in 6, 40,867 villages and rest of population live in urban areas. India has 2.4% 0f world geographical areas, 4% water resources and about 15% of live stock and all this require more production to feed increasing population and livestock. Now starts the role of agriculture and that depends upon farm mechanization and farmers. Penetration of tractor in agriculture is imperative. Tractor is a mean of production, cultivation, transport, construction, electricity generation, and is also used for non agricultural purposes. India is an agricultural country with 68.86% rural population where 48.16% people get employment. Thus, agriculture directly impact Indian economy. Indian rural market includes more than 740 millions consumers and it adds about one million new consumers in market every year. Thus its potentials are very important and very lucrative for the marketers.

Rice is their principal food and they consume rice beer, which is obtained from fermented rice. The attires of the Moyons are of different colours and designs and they are related to their history and culture. They are all designed and woven by women from time immemorial. In ancient days, they prepared the yarn from certain plants and cotton they grew themselves. It took them time but they managed to prepare and weave for their needs. The traditional shawls worn by both men and women are called peen. During festivals, they adorned themselves with different types of ornaments. While performing the dance they would embellish themselves with beautiful ornaments and colourful dresses. Women decorated themselves with ornaments made of shells and animal bones. Men dressed up with headgear of tail feathers of hornbill which signified the promise made between their forefathers and the birds when they came out from the cave. There was also dormitory system only for the boys. One of the ways by which the customs and social values of the people are transmitted from one generation to the next is through folk tales and folk dances. Moyons have music and musical instruments which are used in different dances. Wrestling and hunting the mithun head are their main sports and games. They also had many Social Taboos.
Minority-owned businesses are not increasing in number since 2008 because the economy in the United States, and most of the world for that matter, are yet to recover fully. The period following the recession has been characterized by very high lending interest rates in different financial markets in the U.S. and the world over. Minority-owned businesses have been struggling to circumvent the high expenses of doing business as financial institutions try to recover from the catastrophic 2008 recession. The costs of acquiring resources necessary for production, too, have been increasing progressively, limiting the number of minority-owned businesses that can be established. The rapid flow of customers that existed before the 2008 recession, too, is yet to resume to its full capacity and the reduced demand has affected the emergence of new, minority-owned businesses (Brunner, 2007). Minority-owned businesses are also facing stiff competition from larger corporations that managed to stay virtually unaffected throughout the 2008 recession.
