Ethics, an essential dimension of human research, is considered both as discipline and practice. For clinical research, ethically justified criteria for the design, conduct, and review of clinical investigation can be identified by obligations to both the researcher and human subject. Medical practitioners are expected to not only have the skills and knowledge relevant to their field but also with the ethical and legal expectations that arise out of the standard practices. A highest level of knowledge, awareness and understanding of ethics are expected in medical practice as it is the foundation of sound healthcare delivery system. Though literatures review, status quos of medical evaluation system are found in China. Although Chinese government attach extreme important to ethics evaluation, medical ethics education and building can be value by China. Negative List System is used in health management field firstly. Some suggestions are given to government to improve development of medical ethics evaluation system.
Management information system (MIS) is used to solve management problems in the practical life, the designing and building of the management information systems is done by using one of the systems development methodologies, Classical approach is one of these methodologies which still suffer from some critical problems when it is used in designing and building the management information systems, it consumes more time and cost during its life cycle. This paper develops a new integrated model to minimize the classical approach life cycle in designing and building the management information systems to avoid the additional consume in time and cost.
In order to achieve and sustain fiscal discipline, a proper understanding about the budgetary movements and causal relationship between government revenue and government expenditure have become a vital requirement. Therefore, this paper examines the causal relationship between government expenditure and government revenue in Sri Lanka for the period of 1960-2013. In the process of achieving the main objective, the study uses annual data of government revenue, government expenditure and GDP deflator, and utilizes cointegration and error correction modeling framework, and Granger causality tests. In addition, it presents impulse responses to shed light on the dynamic relation of revenue to a expenditure shock. The results confirm spending-revenue hypothesis both in short run and long run. Considering the above empirical findings the study suggests that, in order to achieve and sustain fiscal discipline, Sri Lankan government should adopt selective expenditure framework.
A diversified stock option plan design plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of option contracts management and elimination of the free-rider problem. The aim of this study is to examine how a company can be used stock options in risk management and solving the agency problem rewarding employees and managers. The stock options plans offered by Starbucks engage all employees and executives into the ownership providing appropriate motivation and incentive and solving the agency problem. However, the study found that, this could also trigger more risk taking on the part of the top managers.
Background: With increasing competition and reducing the possibility of exposure to commodities, the possibility of participating in trade exhibition is important hundredfold. Exhibiting a greatopportunity for companies provide the goods. The exhibition will present a predetermined targets and long-term planning to achieve these goals, the recognition of its resources in setting goals as a fundamental principle of the company, is participating in the exhibition.
Managing technology integrated with operations strategies is a challenging task and has prime importance in a firm’s business strategy formulation. Today technology and disruptive manufacturing methodologies can make the difference between a winning or losing competitive strategic alternative. This research work is targeted towards the formulation of winning strategies including analysis on technology and operations strategies for business growth with focus on robotics and automation. Also included is a practical illustration of a company in real time who have identified and successfully implemented robotics and automation as their prime business growth area. How the formulation of correct strategies brought business growth and success to the organization has been studied and enunciated. Also developed is an advanced Gap Analysis framework which is basically a Dimensional Map to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the factors affecting business growth of the organization. Also, this helps in identifying those factors which needs strategic reinforcement. In conclusion we obtain a prediction factor list to identify the winning operations, technology and business strategies adopted by leaders in the Robotics and Automation industry for business growth.
Cu/Clay/316L and Ni/Clay/316L anodes were prepared by the electroplating of a Cu and Ni catalyst layer onto Clay/Stainless Steel plates for a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). The morphology and structure of the catalyst layers were analyzed by AFM and Optical microscopy. The catalyst coating layer shows an alloy character. The results show that oxides formation at the electrode surface is necessary for the methanol oxidation.
In this paper: a new strategy of anti-islanding photovoltaic (PV) power plant has been introduced. A new islanding detection strategy depending on power line signaling and control by inverter and numerical relays proposed in the literature. By generating, detecting and comparing between signals on the distribution feeders from the substation to the down-stream Distributed Generation (DG), the subtraction value of two signals at the DG site will be indicator for islanding. The scheme is a remote effective detection technique and more expensive than other techniques. The strategy depends on the embedded system containing the power line signaling and both PV inverters and Numerical(microprocessor based) relays. Inverter technology and control have been discussed.
This paper describes patterns of substance abuse, sexual behaviour and its determinants among unmarried youth in India and also evaluates how these patterns are associated with each others. Data come from the Youth in India: Situation and Needs Study, a sub-nationally representative survey conducted during 2006–2008. Logistic regression analysis (binary and multinomial) showed relationships between predictor variables and alcohol consumption and alcohol and sexual risk indicators as well as two of the sexual health indicators associated with premarital sex. Substance use was significantly high among the age group of 20-24 years. Factors such as substance use by caste/tribe, any member in family, paid work, and lower educational status were significantly associated with substance use by study subjects. The prevalence of substance use was high among male youths as compared to female youths. Male youth recognized more Premarital sexual behavoiur than the female youth. Premarital sex were significantly higher among youths who had some disposable income in hand, i.e., those belonging the paid work or both paid and unpaid work. Youth is most important period of human life as they are easily influenced by habits and behavoiurs of their parents, siblings or peers and initiate substance use as well as premarital sex. Therefore improvement of educational and employment status of youths strongly needed. Youths and their parents urgently need health education regarding the consequences of substance use and unsafe pre marital sex.
This communication presents a brief conceptual description of the new utopias for the twenty-first century. It reaffirms the importance of a new economic and political reordering of the capitalist system, and the need to reformulate the concepts of economic development and citizenship, permeated by sustainability.
