Pythagorean triangles, each with a leg represented by 10-digit Dhuruva numbers are obtained. A few interesting results are given.
Rhodiola rosea is a remarkable herbthat has been a part of traditional medicine systems in order to stimulatethe nervous system, toprotect thebody against oxidative stress, free radical damage, inflammation, and virus infection. Rhodiola rosea is included among a class ofplant derivatives called adaptogen,an agent thathelps the body adapt to various stressors. Adaptogens have been claimed to treata wide variety of medical conditions, fromfatigue to cancer. The studies on Rhodiola rosea have shown that the planthas anti-stress, anti-anxiety, anti-fatigue,andanti- depressant properties with no significant side effects. Rhodiola rosea has been consideredin drug development because of its pharmacological activities throughout the world, especially in parts of Europe, Asia, and Russia. Rhodiola Rosea has shown more efficiency and safety than pharmaceutical drugs for anxiety and depression, which typically can have side effects, such as digestive upset, mood and sleep disorders.
Frankincense, the resinous extract from the trees of the genus Boswellia, has been used for centuries in ceremonial, cosmetic, cultural and as a traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments especially inflammatory diseases including asthma, arthritis, cerebral edema, chronic pain syndrome, chronic bowel diseases, cancer and some other illnesses. Boswellic acids are the active compounds of frankincense and AKBA (3-O-acetyl-11- keto-β-boswellic acid) is the most important and effective acid among them. Some studies have shown that the use of frankincense can also improve the learning and enhance the memory in animals and human. It seems that frankincense might have a potential ability to be used as an alternative natural medicine not only for chronic and inflammatory diseases but also for the patients with brain and memory disorders.
Middle Marsyangdi Hydropower Plant (MMHPP) in Nepal, has been currently facing a severe problem with the existing Cooling Water System (CWS) due to excessive silt which is coming with the flowing water in the open loop of CWS. Due to this, the existing system has been experiencing unexpected unit breakdown as well as frequent maintenance that ultimately cause a severe impact on the power generation. This problem could be overcome by introducing a close loop circuit along with an open loop circuit of cooling water supply which passes through a Tubular Heat Exchanger directly submerged into Draft Tube water where heat transfer could takes place. Based on the suitable design parameters, existing site conditions of the plant and ensuring its technical feasibility, a detailed design of proposed Tubular Heat Exchanger has been carried out.
The study has examined the effect of of foreign aid on economic growth in Ethiopia through financing foreign exchange gap (import requirement) over the period 1974 to 2013 using multivariate cointegration analysis. The empirical result from the growth model shows that aid has a significant positive impact on growth in the long run. The aid-policy interaction term also has a significant positive effect on growth implying that the effectiveness of aid would have been higher if it was supported by a sound macroeconomic policy environment. The empirical result of import model also indicated that the positive and significant contribution of aid on import requirements in the long run. In other words the theoretical view of the gap models which is Aid can enhance growth by financing foreign exchange gap is proven in this study.
Since its introduction, market orientation (MO) has emerged as a major construct within the strategic management literature. Efforts have also been made to extend the concept into export operations. In contrast to MO, empirical studies of export market orientation (EMO) is relatively limited, and most of the studies tend focus on the direct causal relationship between EMO and performance. From a resource-based perspective, however, EMO may not influence performance directly, but only a mediating effect by facilitating strategic actions that direct affect performance. In this study, a structural equation modeling is employed to examine the role that export strategies play in the context of the relationship between EMO and export performance. The research results, based on 142 small export manufacturing firms suggest EMO influences performance directly as well as indirectly via export strategies. This partial mediating evidence provides a further understanding of how the EMO construct is related to performance.
The usefulness of cassia podocarpa as locally antifungal agent necessitated the qualitative and quantitative determination of the phytochemicals present. The screening of the leaf and flower showed the presence of flavonoid, tannin, saponin, alkaloid and glycoside. The quantitative analysis showed that the flavonoid in the leaf (6.73 mg/g)was more than that of the flower (5.83mg/g). Also, the tannin in the leaf (10.11mg/g) doubled that of the flower (5.24mg/g).The saponin content in the leaf (27.36mg/g) was higher than that of the flower (13.91mg/g). The alkaloid content in the leaf (19.70mg/g) was more than that of the flower (6.59mg/g). However the glycoside of leaf (7.10mg/g) was just little bit higher than that of flower (6.32mg/g). From the quantitative evaluation of the leaf and flower of this plant, this has really confirmed the local use in the treatment of eczema in human body when the liquid is being extracted and the plant is a reservoir of many novel compounds which can be of immense use to the pharmaceutical world.
Presently, sentiment analysis algorithms are widely used to extract positive or negative feedback scores of various objects on the basis of the text/reviews. But, an individual may have a certain degree of biasness towards a certain product/company and hence may not objectively review the object. We try to combat this biasness problem by incorporating the positive and negative bias component in the existing sentiment score of the object. This paper proposes several algorithms for a new system of implementing individual bias in the corpus of data i.e. movie reviews in this case. Each review comment has an unadjusted sentiment score associated with it. This unadjusted score is refined to give an adjusted score using the positive and negative bias score. The bias score is calculated using certain parameters, the weightage of which has been determined by conducting a survey. We lay emphasis on the degree of biasness an individual has towards or against the review parameters for the movie reviews corpus namely actor, director and genre. We equip the system with the capability to handle various scenarios like positive inclination of the user, negative inclination of the user, presence of both positive and negative inclination of the user and neutral attitude of the user by implementing the formulae we developed.
Background: Unplanned pregnancy is one of the major reasons that expose women for unsafe abortion in most developing countries. Unplanned pregnancies have negative consequences on the women themselves, for their children, siblings and the societies as a whole. So far, no study was conducted in the zone related to the prevalence and associated factors of unplanned pregnancy. Therefore, this study assessed the prevalence of unplanned pregnancy and associated factors among pregnant mothers attending antenatal care at Bale Zone Hospitals, Oromiya Region, Southeast Ethiopia. Methods: A facility-based cross-sectional study design was employed among 362 randomly identified mothers visiting Bale Zone Hospitals for antenatal care in May 2014. Data were collected through interviewer-administered questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 16.0 software. Descriptive, bivariate and multivariate analyses were used to determine prevalence and identifying associated factors of unplanned pregnancy by considering p-value of 0.05. The results were presented in a narrative forms, tables and graphs.
The world is moving at a fast pace, everything changes quickly. Now a day people love to being brand conscious due to meet their circle status. With increasing social mobility the street trends are going to be outdated, consumers want to be socially accepted and for this following the latest trends through latest sources such as social media. The subsequent paper endeavors to gauge the influence of social media on brand consciousness: a case of apparel in Karachi. The research objective is find out the influence of social media, its usage pattern and also studying the brand consciousness in terms of demographics of respondents. For achieving these objectives types of social media sites are considered such as blogs, media sharing & social network sites. The survey was conducted in Karachi. The findings of regression analysis unveil that social networks negatively related to brand consciousness while blogs and media sharing are positively related. Further the research need to be carried out over large geographical area and sample.
