Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has taken some steps to alleviate the poverty of the north-west region in Bangladesh. Providing loan in agricultural sector is one of them because the most of the people in the country are directly and indirectly engaged in agriculture. Surprisingly they generate a low income causing low investments and more than one-third of the people live below the poverty line. This study is an endeavor to conduct with the objective of finding why loan recovery performance is lower in relation to loan disbursement. The descriptive research works have been used for analyzing and investigating the empirical data derived from primary and secondary sources related to loan disbursement and recovery performance of crops and livestock of the RAKUB, Binodpur Branch, Rajshahi. In this paper it has found that the branch is in ahead of loan disbursement but disbursed loan of this branch being unrecovered and classified due to use of that fund in family private expenses and festival expenses and natural calamity like flood, rain with hail, drought. The study suggests that the branch should be more concentrative on loan recovery performance through awareness and supervision then this branch will be able to expand the socio-economic activities at this region and the country to develop and generate the agro-based industries, self-employment facilities etc.
Biodiesels are produced from various organic materials such as plants, fossils and bio wastes etc. The present work is a proposal for the study of combustion characteristics in a single cylinder DI diesel engine with a bio-fuel derived from Jatropha and Pongamia seed oil for supporting industrial aspects in India. Tests were conducted to study the engine characteristics such as heat release rate, peak pressure, ignition delay and brake thermal efficiency were studied for part load and rated load with different compression ratios 17.5:1, 19:1 and 20:1. Experimental results conclude that engine operating at a compression ratio 20:1 is found to be more effective with Jatropha and Pongamia blends. Combustion characteristics reveals maximum cylinder pressure occurs at PME20% as an optimal blend ratio. Ignition delay were reliable for shorter angle at 12.6° for PME20% blend. Performance characteristics suggests that brake thermal efficiency was increased for JME30% blend ratio.
In India software industry has become one of the fastest growing industries. The reason for choosing a particular software industry and its employees is that the level of stress these employees face is comparatively higher than employees in other private companies. Any kind of a job has targets and an employee becomes stressed when he or she is allotted with unachievable targets and are unable to manage the given situation. Thus the main aim of this article is to bring to lime light the level of stress with software employees in HCL and the total sample size for the study is 100 chosen by random sampling method in HCL. When the employees were asked how often they feel stressed while working while working at the company, 98 out 100 said they feel stressed about daily physically, mentally or emotionally. In a sample space of 100 employees, 16% of employees work for 4-6 hours a day, 32% works for 6-8 hours, 30% works for 8-10 hours while 22% works for 10-12 hours daily. When asked about the overtime they have to do, 28% said employees saying always were mainly from age group 20-29. 54% of employees said often while 18% of employees said they worked overtimes rarely. The other few aspects have also been studied about job satisfaction.
A problem of protecting digital protective relays from intentional destructive electromagnetic impacts described in the article. The article is continuation of previous author’s publications on this theme.
Stress is prevalent among graduate students and can be problematic for their work, academics and health. Interventions aimed at stress management have aided student populations in the past and may be appropriate among graduate students, especially if theoretically driven. An online survey guided by social judgment theory, the transtheoretical model, and perceived behavioral control was conducted to collect formative research for an intervention regarding stress management for graduate students. Although results demonstrate stress is common among this audience and many students are actively managing their stress, negative academic and lifestyle consequences from stress are still abundant. A stage approach through a social norms intervention involving the assistance of faculty may improve this issue.
Small and Medium enterprises are the promoters for economic growth in many economies and a key component for their success is the availability and provision of finance for their operations. The study examined the impact of money lending institutions on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana. Simple random sampling technique was employed in selecting 100 SMEs that constituted the sample size of the research. Structured questionnaire was designed to facilitate the acquisition of relevant data which was used for analysis. Descriptive statistics which involved simple tables were strategically applied in data presentations and analysis. The study revealed that significant number of SMEs benefitted from loans even though only few of them were capable enough to secure the required amount needed. Majority of SMEs accepted positive contributions of loans towards increasing their profits, stock and sales, thus placing them on a competitive ground. The study recommended that money lending institutions should review their interest rate downwards and also increase the duration for repayments as this would support and improve the contribution of SMEs to the economic development of Ghana.
This paper focuses on the contributions of Herodotus to African historiography. Its aim is to define, justify and affirm the importance of Herodotus in African History. Being a librarybased study, its data is mainly obtained from secondary sources and from discussions with historians. A purely historical research method was adopted so as to gain deeper understanding of the pertinent issues involved in African historiography. The historical data was evaluated utilizing external and internal criticism. Herodotus was one man who did not subscribe to the biased writing about Africa. If by scientific knowledge, scholars can eliminate all forms of frustrations which victimize people, particularly Africans, the sincere rapprochement of mankind to create a true humanity will be fostered as argued by Cheikh Anta Diop, in the reconstruction of African history. The Euro-centric view about lack of history in Africa is biased and one of the classical writers, Herodotus tried to argue a case, for African’s rich historical background.

Though its a case of primary tuberculosis of tongue giving suspicion of malignancy in an otherwise healthy elder male belonging to low socioeconomic class.
The overall purpose of any design review is to make sure that the stakeholders understand the design, and that they can confirm that the project team understands their needs and that the project is on the right track. In specific terms that are relevant to SDLC, since SDLC, or Systems Development Life Cycle, is a cyclical methodology, phases repeat, so changes can be made to the design in the next cycle. This makes the process a little less rigid compared to the design process in a linear methodology like waterfall. That is one reason why it is important to know the methodology upfront, because the approach for each phase changes based on the methodology. The design phase is very important in any project and regardless of the methodology, so a lot of time should be dedicated to the design phase.
Purpose of study: Social networking sites have gained fame over the past few years. People have started to use them regularly. One Such site is Facebook which has become the centre of attention and has created an urge to explore certain issue among the researchers. This study investigates the affect of personality variables on face book addiction and if it has any negative effect on the student academic performance. Methodology Applied: Survey research method was employed. Questionnaires were distributed among students using in the department of Management Sciences. Valid questionnaires (n=150) were filled and returned. Findings and results: Regression analysis was used to analyze the data. Extroversion, neuroticism and Openness to experiences are all positively correlated to FBA. Also, there is negative relationship between FBA and Academic performance. Originality of the study: Overall, this research explains that extroversion ahs play a major role in determining Facebook Addiction and that there is no significant relationship between academic performance and Facebook Addiction.
