Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has several attributes which make it a preferred modulation scheme for high speed wireless communication. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been currently under intense research for broadband wireless transmission due to its robustness against multipath fading. However OFDM signals have a problem with high Peak-to- Average power ratio (PAPR) and thus, a power amplifier must be carefully manufactured to have a linear input-output characteristic or to have a large input power back-off. In recent years, many peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction techniques have been proposed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. Among various techniques, the clipping and filtering technique has been considered as a practical scheme, and widely used owing to its non-expansion of bandwidth, low computational complexity, and simplicity in implementation without receiverside cooperation.

Eventually, the extent andspread of slums in India not only help us to recognize that theyare not anomalous and pathological phenomena on the urbanlandscape but also a manifestation of urban poverty that is stillpredominant in the urban economy. This study is an attempt tounfold the underlying problems of development of slums.
The main objective of the present paper is to derive a summation formula involving certain special functions.
Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC) often known as self compacting concrete is becoming more widely used in construction in recent years due to its favourable attributes, such as productivity improvements, reduced labour costs, improved work environment and safety and improved product quality. The self consolidating concrete can be obtained by using high powder content or by Viscosity Modifying Agents (VMA), or a combination of both. Keeping in view the possible effect of manufacturing process on the performance of the SCC this study was carried out. Silica Fume (SF) was used as additional powder in powder type and combined powder and VMA type SCC. The fresh properties, strength and durability characteristics were studied. The compressive strength was compared to study the strength and durability relations. The chloride ingress, sorptivity and resistance to acid attack were investigated to assess the durability performance. In all the tests implied in this investigation combined powder and VMA type SCC exhibited the excellent performance among all the three categories of the SCC.
From quantum field theory, the vacuum is not empty space but a medium composed of particles and antiparticles. It has been shown that the process for pair creation also can yield real particles and antiparticles. The motion of objects through a medium consisting of matter and antimatter is considered. It shall be demonstrated that certain laws for the planetary orbits will follow in this system.
The present paper deals with the physico- chemical properties of bottom sediment of a fresh water lake in which fishing is carried out. The soil of the lake under study was found to contain 35 % sand followed by 25% silt and 40 % clay. Thus the bottom soil was clayed loam in texture. The colour of the soil was black. The pH, conductivity, organic carbon, inorganic phosphate and nitrate were measured seasonally for two years. The water retention capacity of soil was observed as 47 % indicating favorable condition for fish culture practices as well as the chemical parameters which were complementary to it.
Lead, Cadmium and Chromium concentration in spice samples collected from eastern Ethiopia were determined after digesting the samples by wet digestion methods using FAAS. Oven-dried 1 g spice samples were first Wet-digested in 8 ML of (69–70%) HNO3 and 2 ML of (30%) H2O2 for 3 hr at a temperature of 120 °C. Wet digestion method showed very fast, safer, simple and cleaner and also gives satisfactory recovery, detection limits and standard deviation relative to dry ashing method. Contents of investigated trace metal in spice samples of Lead in Fenugreek, Black cumin, garlic and ginger ranged from 0.0126 to 0.0155, 0.0205 to 0.0254, 0.0046 to 0.0066 and 0.0161 to 0.0178 mg/kg respectively. Cadmium is detected only in Fenugreek in the ranged of ND to 0.0175mg/kg where as Chromium in Fenugreek, Black cumin, Garlic and Ginger ranges from 0.0187 to 0.0219, 0.0134 to 0.0152, 0.0014 to 0.0016 and 0.0258 to 0.0346 mg/kg respectively.
This paper examines how price changes are transmitted between farm-wholesale-retail market levels of broiler meat in Peninsular Malaysia. Data used in the analysis include average monthly farm, wholesale and retail price index for standard broiler meat for period 2000M01 through 2011M12. Johansen’s and Juselius co-integration technique was used to examine whether long run relationship between the price indices exists. Asymmetry error correction model was used to analyze price transmission behavior along the vertical supply chain. The results indicate there is long run equilibrium relationship between the market price levels. The results of price transmission elasticity show retail responds to wholesale 0.943% and retail to farm 0.0284%. The sign of the value of ECT is negative (-0.659) and significant at 5% significance level implying an ECT towards equilibrium is expected. The formal test of asymmetry proved symmetric price transmission retail-wholesale and asymmetry behavior retail to farm.
