The purpose of this paper is to find the antecedents of consumers’ avoidance towards the Hindi-dubbed Japanese manga cartoon TV show ‘Doraemon’ in Bangladesh. Being the 5th densely populated country in the world, Bangladesh has exposed its inhabitants towards the wide international culture of the whole world. However, the major adoption of foreign culture takes place largely in the city areas. Due to the ease of availability, lack of alternatives and mass appeal, Bangladeshi kids got enormous exposure towards this Japanese manga (animates cartoon character) cartoon show ‘Doraemon’ (Quddusi, 2012). Due to over exposure and the perceived negative impact of this show by the parents and guardians on the kids of Bangladesh, recently Bangladeshi government banned the telecast of Doraemon Cartoon Show in Bangladesh. Through in depth interviews and grounding theory, this paper came up with three major themes or antecedents for parents’ avoidance towards this particular cartoon show. In generic words, this case analysis answers what motivated the parents to express against this show which eventually required Bangladesh government to ban this TV show from the satellite TV channels.
The Universe is created in common algorithm. The law and phenomenon natural have very simple explanation. The micro and macro universes have one genuine origin. In other words the world has one (absolutely) phenomenon of emergence display and affection beyond forties a time impression. We don’t know what electron and core atom is. We don’t know neither what kind elementary particle composed the electron, proton and neutron. Only we suppose that it is very small particle. What structure of this elementary particles.
The article investigates the impact of technology of the properties of thin films of anisotropic laminated structures. Performed electron diffraction and electron microscopy studies of the structure. Testing of the tribological properties. The positive effect of applying wear-resistant underlayer and alloying of the coating material, which led to a significant increase in the durability and appearance of superlow friction. The generalized model of non-dissipative transport of mass (energy) in the absence of resistance forces during the move. Found that the superlow friction, superconductivity and superfluidityare related phenomena defined phase transition particle energy distribution across the critical value (energy potential barrier).Energetically favorable arrangement of the particles in the crystal lattice for the non-dissipative movement in the lack of forces of resistance are the spaces ofVan der Waals in layered systems where possible prediction of the investigated phenomena.
The investigation focused on the adsorption of the blue methylene on banana peels powder. The studies led to determine contacting time (40 minutes for 90% elimination of substrate methylene blue). However, this contacting time can vary with dye concentration. The optimization of parameter such as the temperature, agitation and initial concentration of dye has showed a sensitive improvement of the capacity and rate adsorption. Moreover, the adsorption of this compound is well described by both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models.
Store loyalty is subjective in nature, since it means an evaluative judgment. The literature highlights the existence of a relationship between perceived value and customer attitude, considering this variable as an important determinant of customer loyalty. This paper analyzes the relationship between a store loyalty program in the supermarket industry and the program’s perceived value, program card loyalty and store perceived value. As many companies have been spending a great deal of money to maintain their loyalty programs, it seems relevant to measure the effectiveness of this kind of program. A Linear Regression Analysis methodology with 200 randomly assigned qualified customers, may provide limited support for the theory. Results may change if the sample size is increased, new locations are added to the study or if the effectiveness of loyalty programs is analyzed in a different context such as in the airlines industry. The findings enhance the understanding of the interrelationship among the constructs which are incorporated in the hypothetical model. The new findings in the current study are relevant to the advancement of loyalty theory in customer retention strategy.
While there are many empirical studies on the impact of FDI in developing countries, few of them have been carried out in India at the state level which gives a holistic as well as detailed view of the spillover of FDI. This paper analyzes the impact of FDI on eight major states in India during the post- reform period from 1991-2004 using three models, FE, RE and SUR models. FE (Fixed Effects) and RE (Random Effects) give a holistic view whereas the SUR (Seemingly Unrelated regression) model gives a more detailed picture of the eight states of India. Results show that overall FDI has a positive impact on labour productivity and employment for the period considered. However, across states FDI is more productive only when the states have more absorptive power also labour productivity is growing only at the expense of employment.
The prediction of software defects was introduced to support development and maintenance activities to improve the software quality by finding errors early in the software development. It facilitates maintenance in terms of effort, time and more importantly the cost prediction for software evolution and maintenance activities. In this paper, we evaluate the quality related attributes in developed software products. The software call graph model is also used for several applications in order to represent and reflect the degree of their complexity in terms of understandability, testability and maintainability efforts. The extracted metrics are investigated for the evaluated applications in correlation with bugs collected from customers bug reports. Those software related bugs are compiled into datasets files to use as an input to a data miner for classification, prediction and association analysis. Finally, the analysis results is evaluated in terms of finding the correlation between software products bugs and call graph based metrics. We find that call graph based metrics are appropriate to detect and predict software defects so that the activities of testing and maintenance stages become easier to estimate or assess after the product delivery.
I : Tongue thrusts wallow is one of the major etiologic factor of the malocclusions like anterior open bite, proclination and spacing etc. Currently a number of appliances available to correct the tongue thrust habit which requires an elaborate laboratory procedures, long chair side time for its fixation and difficulty for normal functions of the oral cavity. Methods: As a new method of tongue thrust habit correction, patient’s lingual surface of lower anterior teeth were bonded with begg brackets followed by insertion of lock pins to act as a remainder appliance.
This paper talks about Grameen Bank (GB) micro financing program features, strategies, policies and its two other sister organizations Grameen Chek (GC), involves in manufacturing handloom garments and Grameen Krishi (Agricultural) Foundation (GKF), engages in agricultural activities and irrigation management in Bangladesh. All are social business organizations in Bangladesh. GKF runs its farms ‘no loss basis’. Grameen Bank and Grameen Chek run their programs without receiving external funding; rather these two organizations have operated their programs from their own generated funds. Moreover, Grammen Bank and Grameen Chek are free from external consultants` pressure rather they are developing their programs, policies and implementation strategies by using their in-house staff skills and experience. However, Grameen Krishi Foundation, establishes in 1990, receives start-up external grants from United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), United States of America International Aid (USAID) and the Royal Netherlands Government. GKF all programs are designed by the western irrigation management consultants hired by the donors. Donor consultants have prescribed programs for GKF without considering the local socio-economic, geo-agricultural and environmental factors. The donors forced GKF to follow consultants’ inception mission instructions report, which areirrelevant and expensive for add in Bangladesh agricultural farming. As a result GKF ends up huge loss in 1998. The objectives of the study are to explore what strategies, policies and tools GB, GC and GKF use in implementing their programs in Bangladesh; and to identify what steps they have taken to address the issue of poverty and make them success. Why they are unsuccessful if any. The research questions are what are strategies, policies and tools GB, GC and GKF use in implementing their programs in Bangladesh. The paper reflects author’s own working experience working with Grameen Bank, Grameen Chek a
Injuries to the articular cartilage of the knee are common, they have a significant role in degenerative joint diseases, cartilage is unable to regenerate due to its inherent lack of vascular supply. The management of symptomatic focal traumatic articular cartilage lesions of the knee in active individuals remains a substantial challenge. Although many treatment options are currently available, none of them has fulfilled the criteria for an ideal management solution. Treatment decisions should be based on appropriate evaluation and classification of the pathology. This would enable the treating physician to choose whether to perform a repair or a restoration of the articular surface. The current article reviews the nature and types of cartilage lesions in the knee and the management options utilized in their treatment.
