In power system, one most crucial problem is maintaining system stability. The main reasons for occurring stability problem in the system is due to the fault occurs in the system. In this paper the effect of SVC on voltage stability is investigates using cascade Proportional Integral Differential controller.SVC is a shunt type FACTS device which is used in power system primarily for the purpose of voltage and reactive power control. The cascade PID controller parameters has been selected by using Tyreus-Luyben settings method for primary loop controller and modified Ziegler-Nichols method for secondary loop controller. Cascade control is mainly used to achieve fast rejection of disturbance before it propagates to the other parts of the plant.PID controller in cascade architecture is the best choice compared to conventional single loop control system for controlling nonlinear processs. The primary controller is used to calculate the setpoint for the secondrary controller. The effect of fault on line with SVC and SVC with supplementary controller is also investigates. In this paper, A power system network is considered which is simulated in the phasor simulation method & the network is simulated in three steps; without SVC , With SVC but no externally controlled, SVC with cascade PID. The result of the Simulation shows that SVC with cascade PID controllers are more effective to enhance the voltage stability and increases power transmission capacity of a power system .The power system oscillations is also reduced with controllers in compared to that of without controllers. So with cascade PID controllers the system performance is greatly enhanced.
Toothbrushes get easily contaminated with different microorganisms originating not only from the oral cavity but also from the surroundings in which they are stored. Contaminated toothbrushes might serve as a possible cause in infection or reinfection especially in patients undergoing periodontal treatment. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate and compare the efficacy of five different disinfectant solutions like hydrogen peroxide (3%), Chlorhexidinegluconate (0.2%), essential oil, Saline (9%) and Cetylpyridinium chloride.Sixty dental graduates were randomly assigned as control and experimental groups and were provided with toothbrushes and the disinfectant solution for routine use twice daily for three days. They were instructed to immerse the toothbrush head in the disinfectant solution for five minutes after brushing and the toothbrush was air dried. Toothbrushes were collected from volunteers after three days of use for microbiological analysis. 3% Hydrogen peroxide (MD= -2.02, p<0.001), mouthwash containing 0.2% chlorhexidinegluconate (MD= -1.79, P<0.001) and mouthwash containing essential oils (MD=-1.51, P<0.008) gave a significantly lower CFUs score whereas saline and cetylpyridinium chloride mouthwash failed to produce a significant difference in the number of CFUs when compared with that of water. The presents study shows that using 3% H2O2 in 1:1 dilution for disinfecting toothbrush after brushing is the most effective method followed by mouthwashes containing .2% chlorhexidinegluconate and essential oils respectively.
Background: Life expectancy (LE) analysis was conducted in this study as an indicator to explore time trend for Canadians mortality rate from 1986 to 2007 by age and sex. Detect the factors that can impact on this, and measure the quality of life for Canadians. Objective: Measure Canadian’s LE by age, sex, provinces/territories and health regions, detect shorter LE in Canada due to variant lifestyle and socioeconomic status, compare the difference of Canadian LE among these areas over time. Results: Canadians’ LE at birth has increased 3.2 years in 1986-2007 in women, and 5.2 years in men. LE in British Columbia and Ontario were 81.2 and 81.0, higher than the average in Canada (80.7) in 2007. However, the highest increase of LE was PEI, 4.3 years higher than national average (4.2) level. Three top longest LE were Richmond Health Service Delivery Area (BC), York Regional Health Unit (ON), and Peel Regional Health Unit (ON) in compared to the three shortest LE Région du Nunavik (QC), Burntwood/Churchill (MB), and Nunavut Territory in both sexes. Conclusion: LE is lower for males than females, and shorter in the North than in the South due to poor living conditions, lack of primary health care, higher rates of smoking and heavy drinking and obesity, higher levels of longterm unemployment, fewer high school and university graduates, a relatively larger Aboriginal population and are generally rural and remote.
Many studies worldwide reported about patients developed gastrointestinal symptoms generally within three to six hours of eating the fish. Neurologic symptoms, including circumoral paresthesias and weakness in the lower extremities, can occur later; occasionally a reversal of hot-cold taste sensation is reported. Neurologic symptoms often persist for several weeks, but in some cases can last for years. We have reported a case study of female child presenting with A Schizophrenia like attack just after fish ingestion, following the patients up for 30 months, the disease symptoms disappeared when patient was adherent to medications, relapsed when eating fish in a surprising character. In such an interesting case report, we shed light on the food born-neurological and psychiatric illness produced by eating fish.
The conversion of pine seeds into pyrolytic oil by fixed bed reactor has been taken into consideration in this study. A fixed bed pyrolysis system has been designed and fabricated for obtaining liquid fuel from biomass solid wastes. The major components of the system are: fixed bed reactor, liquid condenser and liquid collectors. The reactor is heated by means of a cylindrical biomass source heater. Rice husk, cow dung and charcoal are used as the energy source. The products are oil, char and gas. The aim of the study was to compare the pyrolysis oil with fossil oil and to come up a decision about usage of pyrolysis oil as an alternative to fossil oil. By the experiment it is found that the pyrolysis oil can be used as fossil oil after some treatments.
Over the recent years, a great interest has appeared in studying " knowledge warehouse (KW) , decision support system (DSS) , data mining (DM) , and knowledge discovery process in database (KDD)" , taking into consideration that each of these fields is related to and influenced by the others. In order to manage an enterprise resources, there is a necessary need to build a DSS which helps the manager or the decision maker in the decision making and managing processes. While the primary goal of a (KW) is to provide the decision-maker with an intelligent analysis platform that enhances all phases of the knowledge management process , the (KDD) process should be applied to discover knowledge and build (KW) , where (DM) technique is considered the most important step in the process (KDD).So in this paper , we merged the concepts of data warehouse (DW) and knowledge warehouse (KW) proposing and building a system of kind (knowledge-driven DSS) which depends on KW for managing (storing and retrieving) the knowledge for the benefit of the process of decision making and management of the market resources (items), where this study includes an application on a DW of marketing building resources (items). This study uses the data mining technique specifically its functionality (Association Rules Mining) in the knowledge discovery process and building KW. Eventually, the designed system was constructed and executed by using (C# version 2008) which is a visual and object oriented programming language. Good system results (knowledge) were obtained in a very little time taking two minutes approximately. This proves the efficiency of the proposed algorithms and our knowledgedriven DSS system in the supporting the market manager or decision maker to take accurate and right decisions for managing the market items in a perfect way.
We present a case of 35 year old female with Right Internal carotid artery agenesis . The Axial and coronal T2- weighted MRI demonstrated an absent right internal carotid artery flow void. A subsequent magnetic resonance angiography showed absence of the right internal carotid artery. This finding was confirmed by magnetic resonance angiography of the cervical vessels, and axial computed tomography angiography showed agenesis of the right carotid artery. The literature reports such finding in association with other anomalies such as transsphenoidal encephaloceles and circle of Willis aneurysms. These associations were not observed in the present case. The patient remained asymptomatic.
The study assessed the level of compliance of construction professionals to ethical practices in the Nigerian construction industry. ANOVA test established a statistical significant difference among the professionals view about compliance of the professionals to clients service delivery (F value=2.447, P value=0.020) and professional development (F value=3.774, P value = 0.001).
Sustainability is a crucial issue for corporate world today. The interest of investors in Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) has grown substantially over last decade. Thus, sustainability has potential to influence company performance. The purpose of this paper is to find “whether sustainable companies are more profitable”. Various researches were conducted in past for examining this relationship. Results, however, have been mixed and inconclusive. Moreover, most of the studies have been conducted in context of developed countries. The purpose of this paper is to examine impact of sustainability rating of company on its financial performance in an Indian context using secondary data. We also separately analyze impact of four key components of sustainability (i.e. Community, Employees, Environment and Governance) on financial performance. We find no significant association between overall sustainability rating and financial performance. However, further analysis reveals that four components of sustainability have significant but varying impact on financial performance.
In this article, we implement the-expansion method for seeking the exact solutions of NLEEs via the Benjamin-Ono equation and achieve exact solutions involving parameters. Abundant traveling wave solutions with arbitrary parameters are successfully obtained by this method and the wave solutions are expressed in terms of the hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational functions. It is established that the-expansion method offers a further influential mathematical tool for constructing the exact solutions of NLEEs in mathematical physics. The obtained results show that-expansion method is very powerful and concise mathematical tool for nonlinear evolution equations in science and engineering.
