The current study is an anthropological analysis of men’s perception towards women’s empowerment based on quantitative and qualitative approach. Chakdara town of District Dir (Lower), Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Pakistan was ethnographically selected and a survey of 4564 households has been analyzed which was conducted during the PhD field study in 2008, where data was collected through semistructured interview schedule from a total of 100 respondents including religious scholars, educated males and females. Besides, the researchers have enumerated the issue under the extensive study pertaining relevant communal and global literature dealing with Pakhtun culture with a theoretical framework including Gender and Development Model and Women Empowerment Forum.
Using the similar formulas of the preference relation and the utility function, we propose the confidence relations and the corresponding influence functions that represent various interacting strengths of different families, cliques and systems of organization. Since they can affect products, profit, prices, and so on in an economic system, and are usually independent of economic results, therefore, the system can produce a multiply connected topological economics. If the political economy is an economy chaperoned polity, it will produce consequentially a binary economy. When the changes of the product and the influence are independent one another, they may be a node or saddle point. When the influence function large enough achieves a certain threshold value, it will form a wormhole with loss of capital. Various powers produce usually the economic wormhole and various corruptions. Further, we propose new nonlinear theory of economic growth and its three laws: Economic takeoff-growth-stagnancy law, social conservation and economic decay law, and economic growth mode transition and new developed period law. A corresponding figure is represented. The social open-reform is a necessary and sufficient condition for further economic development. Based on the main characteristics of knowledge economy, the four theorems on the knowledge economic theory are proposed, and the production function and basic equations are expounded. Some possible directions of the development on the knowledge economy and a sustainable development theory of new economics are discussed.
This research investigate the modeling of Blocks, Present in the sensing field and its impact in the computation of coverage path in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The solutions of these problems are proposed using techniques from Approximation algorithm. In order to accomplish the designated task successfully, sensors need to actuate, compute and disseminate the acquired information amongst them. Intuitively, coverage denotes the quality of sensing of a sensor node. While a sensor senses. It needs to communicate with its neighboring sensor nodes in order to disseminate the acquired data. That is where connectivity comes in to place. In fact, coverage and connectivity together measure the quality of service (QoS) of a sensor network. Coverage and connectivity in wireless sensor networks are not unrelated problems. Therefore, the goal of an optimal sensor deployment strategy is to have a globally connected network, while optimizing coverage at the same time. By optimizing coverage, the deployment strategy would guarantee that optimum area in the sensing field is covered by sensor, as required by the underlying application, whereas by ensuring that the network is connected, it is ensured that the sensed information is transmitted to other nodes and possibly to a centralized base station (called sink) which makes valuable decision for the application. Many recent and ongoing research in sensor networks focus on optimizing coverage and connectivity by optimizing node placement strategy, minimizing number of nodes to guarantee required degree of coverage, maximizing network lifetime by minimizing energy usage, computing the most and least sensed path in the given region and so on. To solve these optimizing problems related to coverage, exiting research uses mostly probabilistic technique based on random graph theory, randomized algorithm, computational geometry, and so on. Of particular interest to us is the problem of computing the coverage in block (CIB), where given
In this paper we have established an indefinite integral involving Hypergeometric function and it’s particular cases.
Nigeria possesses most of the prerequisites for building a strong and vital economy. However, all this potentials cannot automatically transform the country into prosperous nation. Conscious efforts and policies are required to encourage and attract domestic and foreign investors to improve the competitiveness of a nation. Conscious efforts and policies are required to encourage and attract domestic and foreign investors to improve the competitiveness of a nation’s economic base. The study was set to analyze the Exchange Rate determinates in Nigeria (1971 – 2000). Six (6) variables were used in the exchange rate model namely: balance of payment, fiscal deficit, import tax, openness of the economy, trends and exports tax. Data on these variables were obtained largely from Central of Nigeria’s publication and empirically analyzed using econometric technique.
Data Mining discovers patterns and trends by extracting knowledge from large databases. Soft Computing techniques such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms, rough sets, etc. aims to reveal the tolerance for imprecision and uncertainty for achieving tractability, robustness and low-cost solutions. Fuzzy Logic and Rough sets are suitable for handling different types of uncertainty. Neural networks provide good learning and generalization. Genetic algorithms provide efficient search algorithms for selecting a model, from mixed media data. Data mining refers to information extraction while soft computing is used for information processing. For effective knowledge discovery from large databases, both Soft Computing and Data Mining can be merged. Association rule mining (ARM) and Itemset mining focus on finding most frequent item sets and corresponding association rules, extracting rare itemsets including temporal and fuzzy concepts in discovered patterns. This survey paper explores the usage of soft computing approaches in itemset utility mining.
Remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) system requires powerful vehicles to support the bollard thrust and tool power required for deepwater tasks. Evolving deeper waters, vehicle support for heavy-duty tasks demand, deepwater subsea construction, repair and maintenance require efficient ROV power pack to support these tasks. Typical work-class ROV systems provide maximum power levels ranging from 100 to 200 horsepower that produce impressive thrust in either vertical or horizontal directions. Problem associated with ROV power pack include inefficiencies in the power system designs that limit peak system performance thrust curves, inability of the hydraulic system to adjust to varying demands, environmental concern related to energy usage and ship husbandry. This paper address the design and development of a variable pressure power delivery and propulsion system that significantly increases overall system efficiency to maximize use of available power.
Prior to 1991, India almost did not look to its neighbouring Eastern countries. Rather, it maintained a very close relationship with the Western and Middle East countries. Because, firstly, asa colonial habitants of the British – India the entire mindset of the people of India was dominated by the Socio-economic philosophy of the western countries. Secondly, India was tied up with the then USSR during the Cold War period. Thirdly, India had to import most of the imported goods from defence equipments to petroleum products or crude oil and natural gas etc. from the Western and Middle East countries. With the collapse of the Soviet Union the Cold War period came to an end when most of the nations accepted the new era of Globalisation, Liberalisation and Privatization in their economy as well as other socio-cultural fields. The nations have realized that the means to making wealth is by developing of international trade and encouragement of foreign investments etc. The South East Asian countries have also experienced with the New Economic Reform Policies as a result, there have been rapid economic development and growth in South East Asian countries. Thus with the introduction of the “New Economic Policy 1991” India opened its door to the South East Asian countries for trade and other socio-economic activities.
