Bangladesh is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change with a very high population density. The increasing risks from climate change, sea level rise, and natural and man-made hazards—such as cyclones, storm surge, flooding, land erosion, water logging, and salinity intrusion in soil and water have already adversely affected livelihoods of people living in environmentally fragile coastal areas of Bangladesh. This study identifies the relationship between the characteristics of the farmers and their perception of climate change effects on coastal agriculture at Patuakhali district of Bangladesh. To make the outcomes useful, both qualitative and quantitative approaches of field investigations were done. The perception scores of the farmers ranged from 50 to 88 with a mean and standard deviation 78.03 and 5.72 respectively. Majority (80.20 percent) of the farmers has low to medium perception and 19.80 percent high perceptions were found in this area. The research showed that some respondents had a clear understanding of climate change which directly affecting their lives and livelihoods. Most respondents were also aware of to adapt to the climate change effects on coastal agriculture. However, the most respondents were less able to understand about climate change impacts on agriculture due to several factors which also characterize in this study. Among the selected personal characteristics some were positively related and some were negatively related with their perception on climate change effects on coastal agriculture. The perceived aspects according to the perceived frequency/index were increased temperature, increased disease of crop, longer summer, increased insect infestation, unexpected rainfall, during winter water shortage hinder fish production, increase in poultry disease, unavailability of fish, reduced soil fertility, Saline water intrusion due to increased tidal flow, climate change occur due to deforestation, emission of industrial CO2 cau

This paper determined the influence of retail store merchandise assortment and display on consumer impulse buying behavior in north-west Nigeria. Two specific purposes were set with two research questions to guide the study. Two null hypotheses were formulated for the study and were tested at .05 level of significance. The study was conducted in 10 Colleges of Education in North-west Nigeria on a target population of Business Education Lecturers. A total of 219 Lecturers who teach Business Education courses in the colleges and who also patronize retail stores as consumers were studied. A structured questionnaire called “Influence of Retail Store Merchandise Assortment and Display on Consumer Impulse Buying Behaviour (IRSMADCIBB)” was used to obtain data for the study. The instrument was structured on a five-point Likert scale. The instrument was face-validated by three experts in Business Education in University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria all in Nigeria. Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test was used to determine the internal consistency of the instrument and a reliability index of .75 was obtained. A total of 204 copies of the instrument were retrieved for analysis. Data were analyzed using Mean and Standard Deviation to answer the research questions while Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to test the null hypotheses at .05 level of significance. It was found out that the respondents agreed that retail store merchandise assortment and display are capable of influencing consumers’ impulse buying behavior. It was recommended, among others, that retail store merchants should take advantage of training and retraining programmes such as workshops, seminars and conferences to update their retailing skills for better product presentations to their customers.
Here in this paper we devised a novel orthogenesis evolution based GA technique for QoS fitness scope aware routing in Mobile Ad hoc Networks. The past decade research towards route discovery strategies for mobile ad hoc networks is continuing with magnitude speed. However, the majority of the routing solutions devised in past are dealing only with the optimality of the data transmission. QoS aware hop level connections in a given rute are not supported with the desired frequency. Hence the QoS aware routing in mobile ad hoc networks is grabbing the attention of many researchers as this domain is on the hot edge of the current research.
This study aimed to identify the requirements of the IT internal audit from the standpoint of corporate governance in terms of the regulations, instructions and ethics with the addition of the idea of the existence of internal auditing offices. Questionnaire was used as a tool to get the information was distributed to the internal auditors in the Jordanian commercial banks have been using the system for Likert, hypotheses were tested using sample t-test with the acceptance of these alternative hypotheses and reject hypotheses nihilism. The most important results of this study: that the regulations and the company adapted to the social conditions to ensure good implementation by her staff, and assess the degree to submit to the rules and regulations and amendments thereto staff and especially the financial and accounting by the internal auditor.
Though the founding fathers of the Indian Constitution accorded ‘justice’ the highest pedestal, higher than other notions of liberty, equality and fraternity but recent decades has raised serious concerns about the efficacy and accessibility of the Indian judicial system. The ability of the Indian judiciary to deliver speedy and affordable justice has come under scrutiny. Evidences suggest that the system has failed to stand the test of confidence, reliability and dependency that citizens’ so heavily demand. Critics comment that judicial accountability and responsibility are on the wane. An active judiciary as one of the strongest pillars of Indian democracy, today, is beset with unfathomable problems. The most pestiferous and malignant malice range from mounting arrears, delay in disposal of cases, litigation boom, inaccessibility of courts and above all the rising cost of justice. Through this article, I make a humble attempt to make sincere introspection into the functional distortions of the Indian judicial system and suggest remedial measures as espoused from time to time by legal luminaries, jurists and academics alike.
Research scholars and business Professionals have proven that macro of business entities in developing economies like in the case of Sierra Leone fail fundamentally as a result of the incapacity and inability of the owners (Entrepreneurs/shareholders) and business Agents to be creative, innovative and the transformation of their intuitive ways of operational business activities to process management and business process orientation. Some Entrepreneurs/shareholders and Management show some amount of “I don’t care”, negligence and carelessness at the initial stage of not adopting the corrective measures of the business tradition, strategies, risk and change management of winning business success to attain depending on the type of investment portfolio, procedures, policies and approach for business planning, priority, pacing, people, processes and controls to attain operational excellence, high employee engagement and increase customer/client centricity. That is where the problem of this paper lies. Therefore, the objective of this research study is to clearly bring out a theoretical exposition of the issues involved in creativity & innovation and to determine whether these indicators stimulate and influence business success to attain growth, process management and business process orientation as in the case of relevant literature reviewed in Kline-Linked model, Abrams and Hippel’s research findings. Literature findings indicate that innovation and creativity has the capacity to influence success in business performance and growth especially in a developing economy like Sierra Leone. The paper recommends improved quality of human intellectual capital building and training at all levels, training and building quality innovation and creativity structures with related indicators, adequate funding on research, science and development programs, benchmarking countries that ranked high on Global Innovation Index and business growth risk assessment tools. The research
This study is conducted to see whether behavioral practices can play an imperative role in the modern life. The aim of this paper is to provide advanced level networking where people can connect with own bank without waiting. Now day’s organizations are playing an important role in customer dealing and providing advance facilities. The organizational culture has played a leading role in business progress in private/public banking organizations in the twenty-first century. The organizational culture can improve and promote the employee performance. This research is designed to inspect the effects of positive mouth word, repurchase intentions, propensity to complain, switching barriers, price sensitivity, and customer satisfaction with E-Banking variables such as Perceived usefulness in Pakistan. Result of study shows that the effect of these factors influences the behavior of customers and employees in banking sector. Many other factors contribute in behavioral with e-banking but the study including Perceived usefulness. The six behavioral consequences variable jointly measures the output by using technology. The conclusion focuses on the growing technology in banks of Pakistan which produces easiness for the public.
The spectral centroid is one of the useful low level features of a signal that was proposed for speech-music classification, speech recognition and musical instrument classification, and was also considered one of the lowlevel features to describe the audio content in MPEG-7 Content Description and Interface Standard. When the spectral centroid is computed from practical data, the estimate is different from the true expected theoretical value. Moreover, the behavior of the estimation error, when computed from finite length data i.e. from a short segment of signal would of high interest because most of the classification algorithms use dynamic features as the signals are nonstationary. In this paper, windowing effects on the spectral centroid estimation are investigated considering some well structured signals that appear frequently in speech and audio content. A novel algorithm is proposed to counter the window effects and better estimation of spectral centroid.
This study is aimed at comparing the activity of alcohol based hand sanitizers (Dettol® and Lovillea®) and toilet soaps (Lux® and Premier®) against bacterial isolates. The activity of Dettol® and Lovillea® was compared with the activity of Lux® and Premier® toilet soaps against the bacterial isolates (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus specie and Shigella specie) obtained from the palms of some individuals in Abraka, Delta state. Susceptibility of the bacterial isolates was evaluated using the agar well diffusion method by measuring the zones of inhibition observed after 24hours of incubation. Their minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) were also determined using the agar dilution technique. Dettol® hand sanitizer had the highest zones of inhibition (5mm, 5mm and 3mm) against Staph aureus, Staph epidermis and Shigella specie respectively. Both soaps had no activity against Gram negative Shigella specie. Dettol® antiseptic was used as control and it gave zones of inhibition (36mm, 45mm, 35mm and 50mm) against Shigella specie, Streptococcus specie, Staph aureus, and Staph epidermidis respectively. For the MIC; the hand sanitizers inhibited all four organisms at 2ml, Premier® soap had MIC of 5mg/ml against Staph epidermidis while Lux® soap had MIC of 5mg/ml against Staph epidermidis and Streptococcus specie. The result revealed the efficacy of the antiseptic (control), hand sanitizers and soaps in descending order as follows; Antiseptic > Hand sanitizers > soaps. The use of soaps for hand hygiene appeared to be less efficacious against Gram negative organisms. However, both hand sanitizers and soaps can be used as effective measures to control the spread of diseases.
