The competition between organizations that develop software is increasing with the growth of the market in technology of the information, as consequence the organizations has concerned more and more with the improvement of the quality of itts products of software, with the effective costs and with the fulfillment of terms of its projects. To obtain these characteristics, the software development trials require a more effective management, with a well definite project plan based in accurate estimative. In that way, this work proposes through bibliographical hoist and field research, create a software estimative trial to support the management of projects during the cycle of development. This trial consists the use case points metric as a tool of estimative, in the estimative management trials proposed by the pmbok and in the estimative of development activities proposed by the rup. The results of the action research demonstrate that, in average, the software estimative trial with use case points is 4.3% more precise than the traditional estimative metrics (function points and use case points) without estimative formal trial.
Part of the intellectual legacy left behind by David Hume is a powerful skeptical argument which casts doubts on the validity (or, more appropriately, justification) of a basic form of inductive inference. Brian Skyrms and Laurence Bonjour have outlined several possible defenses of what they call the inductive principle (IP), in response to the broader Humean challenge. In this paper I elaborate Skyrms’ inductive justification and pragmatic defense of IP, as well as Bonjour’s novel a priori argument for IP. In the course of critically assessing the cogency of these three strategies, I argue that each one is problematic and fails to provide an adequate defense of IP. I conclude by briefly considering what would be minimally required for a serious rebuttal to the skeptical argument.
A Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is characterizedby mobile nodes, multihop wireless connectivity, infrastructureless environment and dynamic topology. The adhoc environmentis accessible to bothlegitimate networkusers and malicious attackers. Moreover, as the wireless links are highly error prone and can go down frequently due tomobility of nodes, therefore, stable and secure routing over MANET is still a very critical task due to highly dynamicenvironment. In this research paper, a new protocol SSRP (Stable and Secured Routing Protocol) has been proposed. Anexperimental analysis of proposed protocol (SSRP) and existing protocol (AODV) has been carried out using networksimulator ns-2. An effort has been made to perform analysis using random way point mobility model. The results havebeen derived using a self created network scenarios for varying number of mobile nodes. The same scenario is executedfor both the protocols to analyze the performance. The performance metrics used for evaluation are packet delivery ratio, average end to end delay, throughput, normalized routing load and packet loss. Based on the experimental analysis, recommendations have been made about the significance of either protocol in various situations. It has been concludedthat the proposed protocol i.e. SSRP provides a robust, stable and secured routing strategy for mobile adhoc networks.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of service marketing mix, service quality, perceived value and ship passenger’s satisfaction.. The observed unit in this research is ship’s passenger in Indonesia. The research showed that; (1) service marketing mix daesn’t have partially affects perceived value,(2) service quality on ships partially affects perceived value, (3) service marketing mix and service quality on ships simultaneously affects perceived value, (4) service marketing mix partially affects passenger’s satisfaction, (5) quality on ships partially affects passenger’s satisfaction, (6) service marketing mix and service quality on ships simultaneously affects passenger’s satisfaction, and (7) perceived value affects passenger’s satisfaction.
This study was carried out to determine the level of knowledge of disease and adherence to drug therapy among patients with Type 2 diabetes and Hypertension. One hundred and seventy-seven (177) patients attending cardiology and endocrinology clinics at University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, in Nigeria participated in the study. Sociodemographic characteristics, patients’ knowledge of diabetes and hypertension and adherence to drug therapy were determined with the use of pre-tested questionnaires. Anthropometric measurements and blood pressure were taken with fasting blood glucose. Exactly 45.2% of the study population were males and 54.8% were females. Patients who had Type 2 diabetes alone were 23.0% and 20.3% had hypertension alone while 55.9% had type 2 diabetes with hypertension combined. The mean age was 63.2 ± 10.7 years. Exactly 64.0% of the study population had good knowledge of diabetes and hypertension while 58.8% were adherent to drug therapy by self-reported methods. Blood pressure control was poor among patients who had hypertension as only 42.9% of hypertensives had a systolic blood pressure of less than 140mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of less than 90mmHg. In patients with Type 2 diabetes combined with hypertension, blood pressure control was poor as only 41.9% had a systolic blood pressure of < 140mmHg and a diastolic blood pressure of < 90mmHg. Exactly 36.0% of patients with Type 2 diabetes alone and 40% of patients with type 2 diabetes with hypertension combined had good glycemic control. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests and Pearson correlation were used in evaluating the data obtained. Knowledge of diabetes and hypertension among these patients was above average however adherence to drug therapy was poor. This calls for increase in awareness the importance of adherence to drug therapy among patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with hypertension which will involve a concerted effort by all members of the healthcare team.
The Nollywood movie industry, since its inception in the early nineties, has progressively projected the African cultural heritage to other parts of the world. This encompasses both good and bad aspects of the culture. Today, many Africans in Diaspora tend to feel at home whenever they watch any of the Nollywood movies just like the Hollywood and Bollywood project, the American and Indian weltanshuung respectively. Interestingly, there has been a consistent transformation of the Hollywood and Bollywood from the traditional to the postmodern stages. This is not applicable to the Nollywood Industry. The paper, therefore argues that there should be a paradigmatic shift of Nollywood movies from tradition to modernity since virtually all the African Narratives being projected by the industry hitherto are not only pristine and anarchronistic but also fall short of the existing realities of the African way of life. This has impacted negatively on the socio-cultural development of Africa, and in particular portray some Nigerian ethnic groups as uncivilized and backward.
The aim of the present paper is to derive a new Integral formulae’s for the H - function due to Inayat-Hussain whose based upon some integral formulae due to Qureshi et.al. The results are obtained in a compact form containing the multivariable Polynomials.
By giving a generalized definition for the quiver algebra we obtain a surjective homomorphism between the quiver algebra of locally finite acyclic quiver and the incidence algebra of corresponding poset.
The purpose of this research is to determine that does leadership styles that is Transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style has an impact on employee performance. Also we wish to see that if job satisfaction has a mediating effect or not. For this purpose data was collected from 6 schools working in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Result shows that transactional and transformational both are significantly positive associated with Employee performance however transactional leadership was more significant then transformational. Another important discovery made was there is no mediating role of Job satisfaction between transactional leadership. But it mediates with transformation leadership and employee performance.
This paper investigates the effect of diurnal variations meteorological parameters on the troposheric radio refractivity during dry and rainy seasons for Minna in 2008. The hourly averages of radio refractivity during dry (February) and rainy (August) seasons were calculated from the data obtained from the Center for Basic Space Science (CBSS) through Omini web. This data used for the computation of radio refractivity is a five minutes interval of the variations of meteorological parameters for each day in the troposphere for Minna. The results indicated that the hourly averages of radio refractivity during rainy season (August) are greater than the results in dry season (February). This is as a result of variations in meteorological parameters such as humidity and temperature in the lower troposphere which causes the radio refractivity to vary at different time of the day.
