In this study, microwave drying behaviour of shrimp was investigated. The drying study showed that the times taken for drying of shrimp from the initial moisture contents of 3.103% (d.b.) to final moisture content of around 0.01% (d.b.) were 11.75, 7, 4.75 and 4 min in 200, 300, 400 and 500W, respectively. The drying data were fitted to 7 thin-layer drying models. The performances of the...

This paper presents a new two-stage hypergraph-based algorithm for edge detection in noise-free gray images. The first stage consists of mapping the input image onto a hypergraph called the Intensity Interval Hypergraph (IIHG) associated with the image. In the second stage, each hyperedge is partitioned into two disjoint subsets, namely, the interior pixels and the edge pixels. The inter...

The present investigation is concerned with the reflection and transmission of plane waves at an imperfect interface between two different swelling porous elastic media. The expression for various amplitude ratios due to the incidence of longitudinal wave in solid (PS), transverse wave in solid (SVS) are obtained for imperfect boundary and are deduced for normal stiffness, transversal st...

An attempt has been made to establish an integral concerning the product of two H-function of several complex variables (Srivastava and Panda [8] with extended Jacobi polynomial [5]). Mainly we are using the series representation of H-function given by Olkha and Chaurasia [6,7]. By assigning suitable values to the parameters, the results can be reduced to many new, known and unknown resu...

In the present paper, we obtain three new finite integral formulas. These formulas involve the product of a general class of polynomials and the generalized Meliin- Barnes type of contour integrals. Mainly we are using series representation of the H-function given by Agarwal [14], Agarwal and Jain [13]. These integral formulas are unified in nature and act as the key formulas from which ...

We study the long-time dynamics of classical solutions to an initial-boundary value problem for modeling equations of a two-component mixture. Time asymptotically, it is shown that classical solutions converge exponentially to constant equilibrium states as time goes to infinity for large initial data, due to diffusion and boundary effects. ...

This paper considers a class of dual to product-cum-dual to ratio estimators for estimating finite population mean of the study variate using auxiliary variate. The bias and mean square error of the proposed estimator have been obtained. The asymptotically optimum estimator (AOE) in the class has also been identified along with its approximate bias and mean square error. Theoretical and ...
